PREGNANCY/PARENTAL LEAVE OF ABSENCE. Pregnancy & Parental leave of absence will be in accordance with the Employment Standards Act.
24.01 Upon an employee's return from a leave of absence, the employee will be reinstated to their former classification in line with their seniority.
PREGNANCY/PARENTAL LEAVE OF ABSENCE a) The Board shall grant to each eligible teacher, a pregnancy and/or parental leave in accordance with the Employment Standards Act provided the teacher is eligible for the said leave under the Employment Standards Act.
b) The Board shall append to this collective agreement a copy of the relevant sections of the Employment Standards Act setting out the above leaves. (Appendix "D")
c) The returning teacher shall be given a position in the same school subject to redundancy procedures and surplus to school procedures.
PREGNANCY/PARENTAL LEAVE OF ABSENCE. 25.01 Pregnancy leave of absence will be in accordance with the Employment Standards Act RSO- 2000. Parental leave of absence will be available to any seniority employee and will be in accordance with the Employment Standards Act and/or the Employment Insurance Act.
PREGNANCY/PARENTAL LEAVE OF ABSENCE will be available to any employee in accordance with the Employment Standards Act. Seniority will accumulate during the period of pregnancy/parental leave. Before returning to work, following the pregnancy leave, the employee must provide the Company with a physician’s certificate stating that she is fit to return to her normal duties, at least five (5) working days prior to the date of return.
PREGNANCY/PARENTAL LEAVE OF ABSENCE. Pregnancy & Parental Leave of absence will be in accordance with the Employment Standards Act.
PREGNANCY/PARENTAL LEAVE OF ABSENCE. Will be granted in accordance with the Employment Standards Act. An employee may be granted an extension of his/her pregnancy/parental leave after the time limits provided under the Employment Standards Act, if medically required and substantiated by a physician’s certificate and if such extensions are requested in writing to the Human Resources Department at least fifteen (15) working days prior to the termination of her/his original leave.
PREGNANCY/PARENTAL LEAVE OF ABSENCE. (a) A female employee will be granted a pregnancy leave of absence provided:
(1) She makes application in writing to the Personnel Manager at least two (2) weeks prior to the intended commencement of the leave of absence.
(2) She files a certificate from a qualified medical Doctor specifying the expected date of delivery.
(3) She has at least thirteen (13) weeks of continuous service with the Company at the commencement of the leave of absence. The leave of absence will be for a total of up to seventeen (17) weeks, and should the employee fail to return to work by the expiry date she will be deemed to have voluntarily terminated her employment with the Company. The employee will give two (2) weeks’ notice in writing to the Personnel Manager of her intention to return to work, however, in no case will an employee return during the six (6) weeks immediately following the delivery of the child.
(b) In the event of a miscarriage, the leave of absence will terminate six (6) weeks from the date of the miscarriage and failure to return to work by the expiry date will be deemed as voluntary termination of her employment. Within the six (6) week period referred to above the employee will be allowed to return to work one (1) week following the presentation of a absence
PREGNANCY/PARENTAL LEAVE OF ABSENCE. (a) A female employee will be granted a pregnancy leave of absence provided:
(i) She makes application in writing to the Manager/Owner at least two (2) weeks prior to the intended commencement of the leave of absence;
(ii) She files a certificate from a qualified medical Doctor specifying the expected date of delivery;
(iii) She has at least thirteen (13) weeks of continuous service with the Company at the commencement of the leave of absence. The leave of absence will be for a total of up to seventeen (17) weeks, and should the employee fail to return to work by the expiry date she will be deemed to have voluntarily terminated her employment with the Company. The employee will give two (2) weeks’ notice in writing to the Manager/Owner of her intention to return to work, however, in no case will an employee return during the six (6) weeks immediately following the delivery of the child;
(b) In the event of a miscarriage, the leave of absence will terminate six
PREGNANCY/PARENTAL LEAVE OF ABSENCE. 16.01 Pregnancy/Parental Leave shall be in accordance with the Ontario Employment Standards Act, 2000.
16.02 An employee who has been granted a Pregnancy/Parental leave of absence, shall advise the Company, in writing, of their decision to resume working in accordance with statutory requirements.
PREGNANCY/PARENTAL LEAVE OF ABSENCE. 24.01 Pregnancy/parental leave of absence will be available to any seniority employee and will be in accordance with the Employment Standards Act.
24.02 When such employee returns to work, he/she will be reinstated to his/her former classification, shift and plant.
24.03 Employees shall be entitled to emergency leave as provided for in the Employment Standards Act.
24.04 Employees shall be entitled to compassionate leave as provided for in the Employment Standards Act.
