Professional/Educational Development. The employer and employee are committed to staff education and development. Employees will be actively encouraged to attend educational courses relevant to their professional/educational development and of benefit to the employer.

Professional/Educational Development. All Hospitalists shall receive up to twenty-five hundred dollars ($2,500) per year for professional development related to the practice of medicine. A maximum of five thousand ($5,000) may be rolled over per year. Hospitalists shall be reimbursed if acceptable expense documentation is submitted. Hospitalists will be reimbursed within 30 days of the submission.
Professional/Educational Development. A. The School Committee will pay the cost of in-service courses sponsored by the School Committee.

This leave is to enable employees to prepare a portfolio, complete qualifications, and to attend training relevant to their professional/educational development and relevant to the employer. Prior approval of the employer must be obtained. The approval of the employer shall not be unreasonably withheld.

Therapy Assistants shall be allowed time with no loss of pay to attend workshops, seminars, conferences, or other professional improvement sessions and the Committee will pay the reasonable expenses (including fees, meals, lodging, and/or transportation) incurred by the Therapy Assistants who attend workshops, seminars, conferences, or other professional improvement sessions including in-service training programs where authorized or required in writing to attend by the Superintendent or his/her designee.

  • Professional Development 9.01 Continuous professional development is a hallmark of professional nursing practice. As a self-regulating profession, nursing recognizes the importance of maintaining a dynamic practice environment which includes ongoing learning, the maintenance of competence, career development, career counselling and succession planning. The parties agree that professional development includes a diverse range of activities, including but not limited to formal academic programs; short-term continuing education activities; certification programs; independent learning committee participation. The parties recognize their joint responsibility in and commitment to active participation in the area of professional development.

  • Professional Development Plan Professional Development Plan (PDP) refers to plans developed by faculty members addressing the criteria contained in Article 22 and Appendix G.

Management must approve of the specific professional development request in advance. Denial will require written notification to the requesting Lieutenant or Sergeant.
