Continuing Education Reimbursement. Reimbursement for seminar and conference fees, travel, and other expenses related to such seminars and conferences will be made available to nurses. The Medical Center shall make $25,000 available during each fiscal year of the contract. Each nurse may request up to $350 per year until the annual $25,000 fund is exhausted. In the event that the maximum annual fund is not exhausted prior to December 31 of each year, the balance will be available for distribution to nurses who during the fiscal year have incurred educational expenses in excess $350. To be eligible to share in any fund surplus, nurses must submit by December 31, written receipts for allowable expenses that exceed $350. The remaining fund balance will be divided equally among those nurses who submitted receipts and distributed in the first pay period after February 1 in the following year, provided, however, that a nurse’s share of the divided fund surplus cannot exceed the amount of the receipts in excess of $350 that the nurse submitted. There shall be no carryover of funds from one fiscal year to the next. The Education Committee may utilize funds remaining at the end of the fiscal year to bring in a speaker for the following year.
Continuing Education Reimbursement. The Board of Education encourages continuing education for their administrative staff and is willing to assist in payment of tuition costs for approved classes. Approved classes must be at the graduate level in education leadership or curriculum. In addition, movement on the Degree Level chart listed on the School Year Salary Schedule is based on the approved class and the official transcripts being received by June 30 of each year. Upon prior approval by the Superintendent or his/her designee and successful completion of the approved classes, the Board will reimburse up to a maximum Association total not to exceed $15,000.
Continuing Education Reimbursement. An employee in a classification which has a continuing education requirement shall be reimbursed for the cost of the fees incurred to attend an Employer-approved program which helps the employee meet the continuing education requirement.
Continuing Education Reimbursement. After one year of continuous employment full-time employees who are required to complete job related continuing education credits for their position shall be eligible for education reimbursement for approved seminar and conference fees, travel and other expenses related to such seminars, online courses, and conferences. Such reimbursement shall be subject to prior approval by the Medical Center of the subject matter to be studied, and certification of attendance and/or completion of the course. The Employer will make $10,000 available during each year of the contract. Eligibility will be based on a first-come, first-served basis. On October 1, of each year employees may reapply for any unused funds.
Continuing Education Reimbursement. 1. The City of Xxxxxxxxxx encourages employees to continue their education. The City agrees to reimburse an employee 50% of tuition costs and 100% of book costs upon the successful completion of an approved planned program directed toward a job- related degree. To be eligible to participate in the reimbursement program, employees must agree to a planned program of courses leading to a job-related degree and receive prior written approval from the department head and the City Manager. Once their plan has been accepted by the City, employees need only to submit individual course enrollment to the department head for approval. Reimbursement will be made following the successful completion of each semester's courses.
2. For budgeting purposes, all requests shall be submitted to the department head no later than April 1st of any year. Approval will be granted pending budget limitations.
3. All course books and materials shall become property of the City of Xxxxxxxxxx. Any books not desirable to the City shall be sold back to the College Book Store with the funds being returned to the City or may be purchased from the City by the employee for an amount equal to what the College Book Store would have paid.
4. Course attendance is considered voluntary and outside the regular work schedule. The City of Xxxxxxxxxx will not compensate an employee for time spent in class, study, projects or any additional time an employee may direct toward the completion of the course. An employee's time involved in course studies will not count toward premium pay, holiday pay or overtime.
5. Communications Officers shall complete a guaranteed minimum of 40 hours of POST certified training annually at the expense of the City to enhance professional skill sets. This training (may be completed in class, online or by other means approved. The Communications Officers' training budget shall be increased from $3000 to $4000. An additional $2000 will be allocated by City for training travel.
Continuing Education Reimbursement. 3 The Hospital agrees to establish a continuing education reimbursement 4 program for all nurses covered by this Agreement. This program shall apply 5 as follows:
6 1. The period for calculation of professional development shall be the 7 calendar year (the "calculation period"). Each nurse under this 8 Agreement shall be afforded the opportunity for reimbursement of 9 course registration and materials, travel, meals and lodging expenses 10 which are directly associated with such educational leave. Such 11 reimbursement shall be determined by the department manager 12 whose decision shall be final, provided, however, that such decision 13 shall not be arbitrary or capricious. These educational days shall be 14 distributed by the appropriate department head in as equitable a 15 manner as possible. In the event of a dispute concerning the 16 distribution of such days, the decision of the Vice President of Patient 17 Care Services shall be final, provided, however, that such decision 18 shall not be arbitrary or capricious.
20 2. If a nurse is scheduled to attend a class required by the Hospital, and 21 the class hours interfere with the nurse’s schedule in such a way that 22 such attendance causes the nurse to miss a portion of the regularly 23 scheduled shift, the Hospital may offer the nurse additional reasonable 24 work hours up to the nurse’s regularly scheduled FTE. If additional 25 work is unavailable, the nurse will be paid for the portion or reminder 26 of the shift missed up to four (4) hours for each educational day 27 provided the nurse has not or will not meet the nurse’s FTE by the end 28 of the work week.

Per Diem nurses who actually work eight hundred thirty-two four 2 hundred sixty-eight (468 832) hours or more in the preceding twelve 3 (12) months shall be entitled to receive up to three hundred dollars 4 ($300.00) two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00) per calculation 5 period as reimbursement for the expenses associated with an 6 educational leave, and such nurses may also be granted up to twenty 7 (20) hours paid educational leave per calculation period to attend 8 programs approved by nursing administration. Nurses working 0.5 to 9 0.79 FTE shall be entitled to receive up to four hundred and fifty 10 dollars ($450.00) three hundred and seventy-five dollars ($375.00) per 11 calculation period as reimbursement for the expenses associated with 12 such educational leave, and such nurses may also be granted up to 13 forty (40) thirty-two...
Continuing Education Reimbursement. Employees shall be reimbursed for continuing education that benefits the employer and the employee as follows:
a) The employee shall make a request to the Department Head to determine eligibility. The overall course of study or single classes must be related to the employee's employment with the Town. The Department Head shall forward the request with a recommendation to the Administrative Services Director who shall forward the request to the Town Manager for final approval.
b) Reimbursement for continuing education is for tuition, lab fees and books and shall be based upon the grade received:
a. A= 100% reimbursement
b. B = 85% reimbursement
c. C = 70% reimbursement
d. Any grade less than a C is not eligible for reimbursement. If a class is pass/fail, the eligible reimbursement is 85%.
c) The maximum annual reimbursement will be $2,500 per fiscal year.
Continuing Education Reimbursement. The County shall reimburse social workers, LMHCs, CASACs and registered professional nurses up to $400 annually in the following titles for continuing education classes needed to renew their licenses: staff social worker, licensed mental health counselor, substance abuse counselor, supervising social worker, and all registered nurses in all departments. If the employee spends less than $400, the County will reimburse the employee for the amount spent. If the employee spends more than $400, the County will reimburse the employee $400.
Continuing Education Reimbursement. The District allocates four thousand dollars ($4,000) per contract year for reimbursement of continuing education expenses for the entire bargaining unit. Individual unit members are eligible for registration fees, tuition, books, lab fees, and other expenses upon successful completion of the continuing education course with a minimum of a 2.5 (C+) for graded courses or a Course Completion Form signed by the instructor for non-graded courses. The employee must submit to the Human Resources Office a completed Continuing Education Reimbursement Form, along with the transcript and signed Course Completion Form to be eligible for reimbursement. An individual unit employee will not receive reimbursement for more than two thousand dollars ($2,000) per contract year unless otherwise approved by the Superintendent or designee.
Continuing Education Reimbursement. This section of the Agreement has been designated to encourage Employees to continue their professional training, provided that training has a direct bearing upon the improved education of the students of Oak Grove School.
