Educational Development. A nurse may be granted, upon written request, funding up to a maximum of $200 per fiscal year, to attend approved workshops, courses, and other programs that are relevant to nursing practice. Such requests must be submitted to the senior nursing manager or designate prior to attendance at such program. Educational Development. The City of Warwick agrees to allow at least four (4) members of the firefighting force (i.e. those employees assigned to actual fire fighting duties time off with pay to attend the National Fire Academy for a period not to exceed seven (7)days. The City of Warwick further agrees to grant each student that attends the National Fire Academy a sum of money to cover all fees, meals and travel expenses to and from the National Fire Academy. In any such case the total sum of One Thousand ($l,000.00) Dollars will not be exceeded for this program in any fiscal year. The mechanics of this program will be agreed to by representatives of Local 2748 and the City of Warwick.
Educational Development. (A) The Hospital shall pay all employees regularly scheduled to work twenty
Educational Development. (1) The provisions of this article are intended to assist employees in maintaining, improving, and developing skills and knowledge. It is recognized that the Employer and the employee benefit from Educational Development.
(2) The parties recognize that because of the geographic remoteness of the School District, special efforts must be made to ensure that priority for educational development is made available to employees.
(3) Educational Development" may include, but does not necessarily include, educational programs or courses leading to a diploma, certification, or accreditation. It does not include programs or courses required by the Employer to be taken by the employee to meet the basic requirements of the job for which the employee was hired. Educational development is not a replacement for in-service training.
Educational Development. (a) Where the Employer requires a nurse to attend educational conferences, workshops, programs or seminars during working hours, the Employer shall pay registration or tuition fees, and approved expenses and shall ensure that the nurse suffers no loss of salary.
(b) Where the Employer requires a nurse to attend educational conferences, workshops, programs or seminars during non- working time, the Employer shall pay registration or tuition fees, and approved expenses and shall pay for the time of such attendance at straight time rates.
Educational Development. 11.1 The Board shall reimburse employees for educational development programs such as courses, workshops, conferences, and seminars. This would include all related fees, books, materials, and equipment. The programs shall be at the election of the employee. These programs shall be within the context of the employee’s assignment and/or educational development plan. The employee’s administrative supervisor shall make approval for reimbursement.
11.2 The maximum reimbursement per employee shall be up to $350 in the year.
11.3 Courses, workshops, conferences, and seminars required by the administration shall be fully paid by the Board. The Board shall pay such employee(s) her/his hourly rate, round trip mileage (at the existing IRS rate) from the employee’s work site.
11.4 The Board shall reimburse employees for the NH Department of Education (NHDOE) certification fee per the NHDOE fee schedule and amount.
11.5 Monies remaining in the educational fund as of May 1st shall become available to bargaining unit members for additional reimbursement. These funds will only be available to the end of the school year on June 30th.
11.6 Employees who participate in programs such as courses, workshops, conferences, and seminars for which they are compensated, shall be paid within two

Educational Development. 14.1 The School Committee agrees to reimburse an employee reasonable expenses (including fees, meals, lodging and transportation) incurred by employees who attend pre-approved workshops, seminars, conferences or other professional improvement sessions at the request of the District.
14.2 Association members may apply to attend workshops, seminars, conferences or other professional improvement sessions. Requests will be granted based on alignment with District goals, relatedness to the employee’s job assignment and the ability to provide educational services in the employee’s absence. Mileage will be reimbursed but other expenses may not be.
14.3 Additionally, the District will, from time to time, provide professional development opportunities which the employee may access.
14.4 The Association President and District will jointly develop plans and timelines for completion for those employees who choose to achieve Para Pro certification.
Educational Development. C. Workshops, Courses, Seminars, and Other Educational Programs: A nurse may use up to seven- hundred and fifty dollars ($750.00) per year, paid at one- hundred percent (100%) of the amount provided in this Ssection, for workshops, courses, seminars and other types of educational programs that are:
1. Ppart of a plan to prepare the nurse for a second clinical service. The nature of the program shall be determined by agreement between the nurse and the hospital, taking into account the hospital’s needs and the nurse’s interest. Nurses participating in such program shall receive reimbursement for approved courses taken thereunder upon satisfactory completion of the workshop, course, seminar or educational program. Nurses so participating shall be given preference in floating to the secondary clinical area and agree to float to such area as needed. Participation in the program shall be voluntary and completed on the nurse’s own time. The provisions of this subsection shall be applicable only to nurses regularly working at least thirty-two (32) hours per two- (2) week pay period at the time of the agreement between the nurse and the hospital, or
2. Ppreparing for national certification for the nurse’s area of practice, including re-certification (see Appendix A – Recognized Degree and Certification programsa list of currently recognized certification programs is attached as Appendix A), or
3. Rrelated to complementary therapies that may enhance the nurse’s skills, or
4. Rrelated to the nurse’s clinical area of practice.
Educational Development. The Hospital will provide to full-time and regularly scheduled part-time (defined as those Pharmacists who are regularly scheduled to work at least thirty-two (32) hours a pay period) Pharmacists up to one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) per contract year. It is understood that in connection with the maximum set forth above, only nine hundred dollars ($900.00) per year can be used for Board of Pharmacy Specialties certification, seminars and other continuing educational programs/courses as mutually agreed by the parties. The remainder must be used for undergraduate or graduate college credits. In order to be eligible to receive this educational reimbursement, the Pharmacist must receive approval prior to attending the seminar or educational course or program, and the supervisor must certify the program or courses having a reasonable relation to the Pharmacist's professional ettiployment.
