Qualifications for Holiday Pay. In order to qualify for holiday pay, an employee must work her scheduled work day preceding and following the holiday, unless on a leave of absence approved by the Employer or a leave of absence through the application of this Agreement.
Qualifications for Holiday Pay. In order to qualify hereunder for compensation for any such holiday, the employee must have worked her/his last regularly scheduled workday prior to, and the next regularly scheduled workday following, such holiday unless the absence of such regularly scheduled workday is due to jury service, a verifiable bona fide illness, an emergency leave for an approved reason, or bereavement leave as provided for under this Agreement.
Qualifications for Holiday Pay. Employees who are regularly at work when the holiday occurs and not laid off or absent due to sickness (except sickness authorized by doctor's certificate), accident or leave of absence, and who have worked the last regular shift scheduled for them prior to the day on which the holiday is observed, and who work the next regular shift scheduled for them after the holiday is observed, shall be paid for the holiday.
Qualifications for Holiday Pay. In order to qualify for Holiday Pay, an employee shall work her regular assigned hours of work on the day immediately prior to and on the day immediately following the Holiday (or the day on which the Holiday is observed). If on sick leave, approved leave of absence, vacation or bereavement leave, she shall not lose her pay for the Holiday. Payment for all holidays shall be based on the employee=s regular hourly rate, multiplied by the number of hours she would normally have worked on such day.
Qualifications for Holiday Pay. All regular employees shall be entitled to take all authorized holidays on full pay, not to exceed eight (8) hours for any one (1) holiday. Employees working a ten (10) hour normal work day shall be entitled to only eight (8) hours for a holiday but may use CTO or vacation time to receive full pay for that day. Any employee who is required to work on a holiday, or whose regularly scheduled day off falls on a holiday, shall be entitled to compensation for eight (8) hours at straight time for that holiday, and the time shall be reported on the payroll prelist as directed by the Auditor-Controller. If an employee’s regularly scheduled day off falls on a holiday and the employee works that holiday, then the employee shall receive holiday pay as outlined in section 7.03.

(The following clause is applicable to full-time employees only) In order to qualify for holiday pay for any holiday or to qualify for a lieu day, an employee must complete their scheduled shift on each of the working days immediately prior to and following the holiday except where absence on one or both of the said qualifying days is due to a satisfactory reason. (The following clause is applicable to full-time employees only) An employee who is absent on a holiday after being posted to work forfeits all pay for the day unless the employee presents to the Hospital proof of illness or non- occupational accident rendering the employee unable to perform their regular duties.

In order to qualify for the benefit of Article 23, an employee must have completed the probationary period, Must have worked at least twelve (12) days during the last four (4) weeks immediately prior to the paid holiday and their first scheduled shift immediately following the paid holiday.
