Report of Sick Leave. The employee shall request sick leave use in the electronic timekeeping system,. Requests will be subject to supervisor approval in the electronic timekeeping system. Medical and Dental Appointments. Employees are encouraged to schedule medical and dental appointments during non-working hours when possible or to minimize the time away from work by scheduling appointments early or late in the day or to coincide with lunch periods. Not more than four (4) hours of sick leave credit in one (1) day may be used for a routine medical or dental appointment unless the employee can justify the need of additional time.

  • Reporting of Sick Leave The employee will call in sick or returning in accordance with Article 14.05 to the designated employer for purposes of payment. For purposes of notification of absence, the employee will notify the appropriate home in accordance with Article 14.05 of their absence that shift.

  • Donation of Sick Leave a. If a part-time bargaining unit member is absent due to a major illness, injury or accident, or absent and using Sick Leave in accordance with Article 20, and the member has exhausted all of his/her accumulated Sick Leave, the member may receive up to five (5) days of accumulated Sick Leave from any Part-Time Certified or Part-Time Classified bargaining unit member who wishes to donate these days. Members receiving donated days will be paid at their regular rate of pay.
