Rosters for Full time Employees. (a) Rosters shall be arranged Monday to Sunday inclusive comprising any combination of day, afternoon and evening shifts. A roster will be provided to a Full time employee at least one week in advance. Any changes to rosters will be made known to the employee as soon as reasonably practicable. (b) Ordinary hours of work shall be averaged over a four week cycle. The actual hours worked may vary on a weekly basis, with some weeks being greater than 38 hours and other weeks being less than 38 hours. (c) The maximum hours that an employee shall work in any one shift shall be 10 hours. (d) A Full time employee may request more than one start on any one day where an employee has to meet family or educational responsibilities, or has other valid reasons for making the request. (e) The employer will take into account the family responsibilities and personal requirements of an employee when rostering and will endeavor to make working arrangements which support a balance between an employee’s work and family requirements.

(e) An employee may work a maximum of 6 days of ordinary hours consecutively. (f) An employee can work a maximum of 10 ordinary hours starts in a fortnight. (g) An employee can work a maximum of 6 starts in any week except for where additional starts are requested by the employee in accordance with Clause 4.2(h) of this Agreement. (h) A Full time employee may request more than one start on any one day where an employee has to meet family or educational responsibilities, or has other valid reasons for making the request.

Rosters for Full time Employees. (a) Choice of Rosters All rosters/shifts will be offered to existing permanents in the first instance by advertisement. In principle there will be three rosters. (i) Continuation of the existing nine day fortnight roster at a minimum of their current grading. There would be no work rostered for Saturday or any Public Holidays. The hours of work would be the current 36 hours averaged over 2 weeks with a leisure day each fortnight. (ii) Monday to Friday four day roster. There would be no Saturday work but employees would be rostered to work the Public Holidays nominated in Clause 17 of The Agreement as they fall as part of their roster. The hours of work would be 36 hours per week worked at nine hours per day Monday to Friday with one leisure day rostered each week. This roster is specifically designed so that rostered days off fall on a Monday and Friday. (iii) Monday to Saturday four day roster. This roster includes Saturday work and work on nominated Public Holidays as they fall as part of a roster. The hours of work would be 36 hours per week worked at nine hours per day Monday to Saturday with two leisure days rostered per week. This roster may be offered in the future as the needs of our customers dictate. When this roster is made available it will be offered in the first instance to permanent employees. (iv) Regardless of which roster an employee is on, the Company will roster a number of employees onto a late start each Monday. All employees may be rostered for a late start Monday. Each employee will work one late start in four. If absent on the rostered late start the employee will work a late start on the following Monday.

  • Overtime for Part-Time Employees ‌ (a) A part-time employee working less than the normal hours per day of a full-time employee, and who is required to work longer than their regular workday, shall be paid at the rate of straight-time for the hours so worked, up to and including the normal hours in the workday of a full-time employee. (b) A part-time employee working less than the normal days per week of a full-time employee, and who is required to work other than their regularly scheduled workdays, shall be paid at the rate of straight-time for the days so worked up to and including the normal workdays in the workweek of a full-time employee. (c) Overtime rates shall apply to hours worked in excess of (a) and (b) above.

  • Regular Part-Time Employees A regular part-time employee is one who works less than full-time on a regularly scheduled basis. Regular part-time employees accumulate seniority on an hourly basis and are entitled to all benefits outlined in this Collective Agreement. Regular part-time employees shall receive the same perquisites, on a proportionate basis, as granted regular full-time employees.

  • Job Stewards (1) An employee appointed as a Job Xxxxxxx shall, upon notification by the Union to the employer be recognised as the accredited representative of the Union and he/she shall be allowed all necessary time during working hours to submit to the employer matters affecting the employees he/she represents and further shall be allowed reasonable time during working hours to attend job matters affecting the Union. Provided that the foregoing does not relieve the Job Xxxxxxx of the obligation imposed upon him/her by his/her employer. A Job Xxxxxxx shall notify the employer and where relevant the principal contractor's representative and the Union prior to the calling of any stop work meeting so that the procedures laid down in Clause 42. - Settlement of Disputes - may be observed before any stoppage of work occurs. (2) Prior to termination or transfer two days' notice shall be given to any Job Xxxxxxx and the Union. Payment in lieu of notice shall not be given. In the event of the Union disputing the decision of management to transfer the Job Xxxxxxx or terminate his/her service, the Union shall notify management within two working days after being informed of the decision of management. The Job Xxxxxxx shall remain on the job during which time a Board of Reference shall deal with the matter. The Union shall, within three working days of notifying the management that it disputes the decision to transfer or terminate the job xxxxxxx, request the Registrar or Deputy Registrar in writing to appoint a Board of Reference to deal with the matter. The Union and the employer shall do all things necessary to enable the Board to sit within ten working days of the management decision to transfer or terminate the job xxxxxxx. If the Board cannot sit within ten working days because of the employer's failure to nominate representatives, or their unavailability to sit on the Board, the decision to transfer or terminate the job xxxxxxx shall be null and void. If the Board cannot sit within ten working days because of the Union's failure to nominate representatives, or their unavailability to sit on the Board, the job xxxxxxx'x transfer or termination shall automatically take effect at the expiry of the period of ten working days. Provided that nothing in this subclause shall prevent the parties proceeding by agreement to have the matter settled by the Commission or a Local Disputes Board set up in accord with Clause 42 (3) in lieu of the Board of Reference procedure. Provided further that nothing shall affect the right of the employer to dismiss a job xxxxxxx without notice for misconduct or refusing duty.
