SAFETY CLAUSE. The Employer shall notify Local Union 516 immediately upon becoming aware of an Employee becoming injured.

Employer safety rules and regulations shall be complied with provided they are not inconsistent with the above mentioned. It shall not be considered a violation of this Agreement should an Employee(s) refuse to work in conditions and/or use equipment that does not meet prescribed safety standards and/or regulations. Refusal of an Employee to abide by the Workers Compensation Board regulations may be considered cause for dismissal.

It shall be a condition of this Agreement that all Employees and Contractors shall comply with the safety provisions set down by OSHA, the Construction Safety Act of 1969 and the Safety Codes of Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia, including revisions. It shall be a condition of employment that all Employees use and wear the safety equipment provided by the Contractor and practice the safety procedures specified by the Contractor and the State Safety Code and Federal Safety Laws. Refusal to comply will subject employees to immediate dismissal.

The employer shall furnish and maintain in the best possible working condition, within the limits of its financial capability, the necessary tools, facilities, vehicles, supplies and equipment required for members to safely carry out their duties. 37.02 Hard hats and approved safety shoes/boots supplied by members. Employer to supply safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vests, gloves, respirators when required and 3M dust masks, safety harnesses, face xxxxxxx, rotary hammer vacuum bags, side shield for eye glasses, paper coveralls when required or any other safety equipment, PPE, required under the Work Safe BC Authority. Employee’s to sign out above safety equipment and return to company upon lay-off.
37.03 Protective clothing shall be provided by the contractor to their employees working in hazardous conditions. e.g. confined spaces, inside tanks or pipes containing chemical, oil, gases, acids, etc. All protective clothing is to be provided as per Article 8 of the OH&S Work Safe BC Regulations.
SAFETY CLAUSE. The Town Council finds and declares that this Ordinance is promulgated and adopted for the public health, safety and welfare and this Ordinance bears a rational relation to the legislative object sought to be obtained. SAFETY CLAUSE. The firm shall take all precautionary measures in order to ensure the protection of his own personnel moving about or working on the Railway and should confirm to the Rules and Regulations of the Railway. The following precautions are to be taken.
1. To prevent falling of person when working at height.
2. To prevent falling of material from height.
3. Provision of suitable working platform and ladders to work at height.
4. Using of suitable lifting machineries and tackles to handle materials.
5. Providing suitable PPEs for employees.
6. For portable electrical apparatus only industrial plug for taping power supply is to be used.
7. Properly insulated electrical equipments/welding sets to be used.
8. If the work is awarded inside factory premises prior permission has to be obtained from the Occupier of the Factory stating that the above safety measures would be complied scrupulously. Any deviation/violation in the above said conditions would result in termination of the work permit. Further appropriate action as deemed fit will be initiated against the firm as per rules.
