School Security. The Board shall make a reasonable effort to assure the safety of teachers in school buildings. In addition, the Board shall make a reasonable effort to provide security in faculty parking lots, provided it is acknowledged that absolute protection against vandalism may not be achievable. In addition, the District will provide all teachers with information and online training on school emergency response procedures and teachers shall act in accordance with the procedures outlined in the School Emergency Procedures Flip Chart, a copy of which shall be available in each classroom.
School Security. Newbreak Church and the operator of the charter school shall provide for the security of the students and the school facilities in a manner consistent with established state and San Diego Unified School District regulations.

For the security and safety of the children, our staff, and our school building, we would like to share the following policies and procedures: All school entrances are locked during the school day. The building can be entered only through the door adjacent to the parking lot on the north side of the school. Please ring the doorbell and you will be greeted as promptly as possible. Please note the school doors do not open to students/families until 8:30 a.m. All visitors to the MAC will need to stop at the window located in the vestibule. Only visitors that are there for volunteering or for meetings will have access to the school building. This includes any parents/guardians picking up students from the nurse’s office.

School Security. The Board of Education may, in its discretion, establish and reduce any number of second shift positions, or positions working a Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday schedule, provided:
1. Such alternative work week and/or second shift positions shall be filled by new hires and volunteers, i.e., a current first shift Monday through Friday schedule employee cannot be ordered to move to the second shift/alternative work seek position.
2. All shifts shall be eight (8) consecutive hours (this shall not apply to an overtime assignment) and each work week shall consist of five (5) consecutive days.
3. The Board shall have discretion to eliminate or change a second shift/alternative work week as long as the employee is provided not less than thirty (30) calendar days notice of the change.
4. The Board may continue to offer short term overtime assignments, e.g. four (4) hours on given night.
School Security. The Association wishes to work cooperatively with all other employee groups to provide for a secure building and for the safety of the students and staff, however, School Administrative Assistants alone will not be required to assume the burden of any proposed security measures. The Association will be willing to serve on any committee where such proposals are submitted and evaluated.
School Security. In order to increase security and safety, each employee will be required to enter and exit their work location using a passcode, identification card or other method. This passcode will signify to main office the number of employees who are on site. This information will be used to determine who is in the building during school hours and after hours. This information will not be used for disciplinary or evaluation purposes. No employee shall use another employee’s passcode, identification card or other method to access the security system. The employer will ensure that an adequate amount of portals will be available for a timely entrance and exit.
School Security. 13.1 The Governors agree to make arrangements for the Premises to be opened and locked after each Period of Control and the User agree to notify the Governors or their Authorised Representative where any session is to start late or end early.

School Security. The work year for School Security shall be two hundred (200) days, including eighteen (18) days assigned as needed based upon the needs of the school. The School Security and Lead School Security positions are paid for thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours/week which will be scheduled between 7:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M., Monday-Friday, including one half (½) hour for lunch. Compensation for the Lead School Security position is in accordance with Appendix A, with an additional 10% base pay stipend.
