Seasonal Help. Casual or temporary employees may be employed to a total of ten (10) employees. However, in no case will the period of employment of these temporary employees exceed one-hundred-twenty (120) days. It is understood and agreed that the provision in this Agreement, entered into between the parties, do not apply to these temporary employees. It is further agreed that these employees will not be used during the time of layoff or while members of the bargaining unit are working reduced hours. In the event a temporary employee is promoted to a permanent position, their time worked as a temporary employee shall count towards establishing their seniority date, providing such time is consecutive.
Seasonal Help. Seasonal help may be employed by the Employer for a period not to exceed sixty (60) working days per fiscal year.
Seasonal Help. 43:01 (a) Seasonal help may be employed by the Employer from time to time during peak employment periods as long as there are no current employees who are on layoff who are qualified and capable of performing the position.
Seasonal Help a) Help hired for the summer or other temporary periods when school is not in session shall not be subject to the terms or benefits of this Agreement provided such seasonal help shall not be used to cause the layoff of bargaining unit personnel. Bargaining unit personnel not working full-time during the time when seasonal employees will be used will be given first consideration for such seasonal employment. The Employer shall post notice of such positions at least ten (10) days in advance on the bulletin boards. Employees who desire seasonal work as herein provided shall sign the posting. Notice of seasonal work after the last student instruction day of the school year shall be mailed to those bargaining unit members who have expressed an interest.
b) These employees shall not be used to take the place of regular employees already on the payroll.
c) If an employee classified as seasonal help is retained as a regular employee or works beyond the length of seasonal employment, he/she shall have seniority from the date the employee was employed as seasonal and shall be covered by all provisions of this Agreement except that the probationary period provided by Article VII, Section 3, shall be served after the date the employee is retained as a regular employee.
Seasonal Help. (a) Seasonal help may be employed by the Employer from time to time during peak employment periods as long as there are no current employees who are on layoff who are qualified and capable of performing the position.
(b) The Employer shall not knowingly use this category to hire full-time employees.
43:02 Seasonal staff may only be employed for a maximum of sixty (60) continuous working days. Seasonal staff who continue beyond a maximum of sixty (60) continuous working days will be treated as having been hired as a probationary employee effective as of the sixty-first (61st) continuous working day.
43:03 Pay practice will be as outlined in Article 24:01.
43:04 Seasonal employees shall not have any seniority rights, and shall not be entitled to participate in or receive any benefits that are set forth in this Agreement. Seasonal employees shall however be entitled to vacation pursuant to the provisions of the Employment Standards Code.
Seasonal Help. Seasonal help employees may be employed from March 1 through November 30 to work less than the applicable IMRF minimum eligibility guidelines (currently 600 hours) and continue to perform the same basic type of work as bargaining unit members under the direction of the administration and the supervising ESSO member (if applicable), If overtime is necessary, it will not be assigned to seasonal employees, unless bargaining unit members in the same department have been first offered and declined overtime, except in emergencies. Seasonal employees will not be utilized to fill budgeted bargaining unit positions. If a RIF is necessary, no seasonal help will be hired in the affected Department before the end of the school term or after school starts in August.
Seasonal Help. It is recognized that the Company requires the use of seasonal workers during the peak business months – April 1 through October 31.
1. It is agreed that the Company shall augment the regular work force (seniority employees & probationary employees) by hiring seasonal help.
2. Said seasonal help will not be entitled to work during the peak periods defined above; the provisions of 8.04 above do not apply relative to their status.

Seasonal Help will be paid overtime at the time and one half rate after having worked forty
Seasonal Help. The District may hire one person in the months of April and May as extended summer help for the purpose of grounds work only. This provision will sunset August 31, 2018.
