Section 7.10. 46 Employees must receive prior approval before working overtime. Overtime shall, at the employee's 47 option, be accrued as comp time or as hours worked for pay at time and a half. Use of comp time must be 1 pre-approved by management. Once comp time is scheduled, it may not be changed without the 2 employee's consent.

Section 7.10. 11 On early release parent conference days, and the last day of school, Paraeducators wishing to work 12 their regularly scheduled hours may do so, provided they identify and obtain approval for appropriate 13 job-related work to perform in the absence of students. Supervisor approval shall not be unreasonably
Section 7.10. 13 Buildings and kitchen facilities rented to outside groups shall have a District employee from that 14 building assigned and paid for by the user at the appropriate hourly rate. The employees agree to cover 15 the assignments. 17 If the building or kitchen facilities are loaned without charge to a local group or charitable 18 organization, the District shall have the right to assign or not assign anyone to cover the building or 19 facility.
Section 7.10. 6 Employees requested to work a shift regularly filled by a higher paying classification employee shall 7 receive compensation equal to that normally received by the employee in the higher paying classification, 8 commencing with the first day of such assignment.

Section 7.10. 1. 19 All hours worked in excess of eight (8) hours per day or forty (40) hours per regular work week 20 shall be compensated at the rate of one and one-half (1½) times the employee's base pay.
Section 7.10. 21 Employees taking authorized leave shall experience no loss or gain of seniority benefits or 22 accumulated sick leave, provided they return to active service by the termination date of their 23 authorized leave.
Section 7.10. 38 A workday within the Transportation classification shall be established by the District in relation to 39 bus routes and time requisite to fulfilling tasks assigned by the Supervisor of Transportation. If there 40 are less than sixty (60) minutes layover time between assignments, an employee's workday shall 41 continue uninterrupted for such layover time, but not to exceed thirty (30) minutes paid layover time. 42 Drivers shall receive, in addition to the above, thirty (30) minutes per workday for the purpose of bus 43 warm-up, cleanup and safety check, etc. In the event District required bus cleanup and/or bus washing 44 exceeds the compensated time (thirty (30) minutes per workday/2.5 hours per workweek) on a 45 consistent basis, the driver shall submit a request for extra paid time to the transportation supervisor.
