Shift. A full-time shift shall normally consist of a nine (9) consecutive hour time period, determined by the University, of which one hour shall be used for a lunch period without compensation. A one-half hour lunch period may be substituted for the one hour lunch period with prior approval of the supervisor. With the approval of their supervisor and the Human Resources Office, schedules of less than forty (40) hours per week or a shift change may be elected by staff members.
Shift. The word "shift" when used in this Agreement shall mean the daily hours of work as arranged under the provisions of this Agreement.
Shift. A full-time eight (8) hour shift shall normally consist of an eight hour time period of which one-half hour shall be used for a lunch period with compensation. A full-time ten (10) hour shift shall normally consist of a ten (10) hour time period of which one-half hour is used for a lunch break with compensation. Employees are on call during their lunch break and must be readily available to answer any calls. It is the intent of the University to maintain at least two full time sworn staff members on duty on each Friday and Saturday between the hours of 10:00PM and 2:00AM while fall and winter classes are in session.
Shift. A Shift is the scheduled period of work during the twenty-four (24) hour work day. The shifts are described in Article 7, Hours Of Service.
Shift. The parties agree to work a 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight shift, Monday to Friday with a twenty (20) minute paid lunch. A shift premium of fifty (50) cents per hour will be paid to the employees on shift. The night shift shall not employ greater than two-thirds of the day shift staff. Volunteers and anyone hired after August 9, 1990 shall work the 4 - 12 shift. Employees hired before August 9, 1990 shall have the right to work (8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) the day shift.
Shift. The word "
Shift the hours scheduled or worked by an employee on any given day, as follows:
(a) Day shift is a shift that starts between the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
Shift. On a workday, the shift is determined by the employee’s start time. Day Shift 4:00 a.m. through 11:59 a.m. Afternoon Shift 12:00 p.m. through 7:59 p.m. Night Shift 8:00 p.m. through 3:59 a.m.
Shift. A shift differential of sixth eight cents ($.68) per hour worked shall be paid to employees whose shift starts on or after 2:00 p.m. and before 4:00 p.m.
Shift. (a) The Board has the sole right to schedule shifts as required.
(b) In this Agreement "shift" shall mean hours that any individual member is scheduled to work, with the exception of a member whose hours of work are within the normal work day and normal work week as defined in Item 10:01.
(c) Except as otherwise agreed to by the Board and the Association, a shift shall consist of eight (8) consecutive hours including up to one (1) hour for lunch.
