A maintenance employee must have at least sixty (60) days of accumulated sick leave at the time of retirement to be paid for any days. Payment will include the first sixty (60) days. To be eligible, maintenance employees must have five (5) years of service in the district. Retirement is defined as receiving a pension through the Public Employees' Retirement System.   • Sick Leave Accumulation Employees shall be credited with sick leave at the rate of 8 (eight) days per year. The maximum number of days that employees may accrue is as follows: 2020-2023 60 days Sick days are non-compensable at the time of termination of employment.

  • Payment for annual leave (a) Before going on annual leave, an employee will be paid the amount of wages they would have received for ordinary time worked had they not been on leave during that period.

  • Sick Leave Accrual Full-time employees will accrue eight (8) hours of sick leave in a calendar month. Part- time employees will accrue sick leave credit on the same proportional basis that their employment schedule bears to a full-time schedule, up to a maximum of eight (8) hours in a calendar month.

  • Sick Leave Bonus For every six (6) months of perfect sick leave attendance after July 1, 1987, the employee will receive eight (8) hours of bonus time. This bonus time will be prorated for part-time employees. Such bonus time can be used for any leave purpose covered by this Agreement. Such bonus time shall be counted as vacation leave credits for purposes of determining eligibility for carry- over and cash payments.
