Stakeholder Engagement Plan. The Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP) was another strategic document for the project since it defined the strategy for engaging stakeholders throughout the three-year course of the project. In view of the importance of this document, The EU Project Officer closely monitored the development of the Plan. All partners contributed to a major mapping of relevant stakeholders and used their databases/contacts to identify relevant stakeholders. These stakeholders came from business, policy, NGOs and from the academic community. In total a major list of 303 stakeholders was compiled. This list served as a basis for gradually building the GreenEcoNet network and was also used for inviting experts to join the GreenEcoNet events as speakers or participants. The list was also used in the selection of experts for the project’s Pool of Experts (see WP2). The Plan also defined the steps for making the initial outreach to SMEs, multipliers and stakeholders but also for engaging these stakeholders throughout all the project’s stages. Overall, it guided the process of building a significant GreenEcoNet network featuring many businesses and other stakeholders from the EU and beyond.
