Substitution of Leave. When sickness occurs within a period of annual leave, the employee may request that the period of illness be charged as sick leave and the annual leave would be reduced accordingly. Such requests to Annual Leave NRC/NTEU Collective Bargaining Agreement substitute sick leave for annual leave should be made as soon as possible after return to duty, and if the sick leave exceeds 3 consecutive workdays the supervisor may require the employee to furnish either a medical certificate or other reasonably acceptable evidence. When the request for sick leave, which is to be substituted, complies with Article 11, Sick Leave, it shall be approved.

Substitution of Leave. When an Employee is eligible to use sick leave, the Employee may request to take annual leave instead of sick leave according to the provisions set forth in the Article 18, Sick Leave, of this Agreement. Notation of this substitution shall be made on the leave form. Use of this annual leave is subject to the same conditions as though the Employee was using sick leave.
Substitution of Leave. 83. Where an employee on annual leave or long service leave becomes eligible for leave that is required to be granted in accordance with the NES, such as personal/carer’s leave, compassionate leave or community service leave but excluding parental leave, the Commissioner may approve substitution.   • Expiration of Leave Except as otherwise provided in this Article, twenty (20) days before the expiration of a leave for ninety (90) days or more, or five (5) days before expiration of a leave for twenty (20) days but less than ninety (90) days, the employee should make every effort to notify the Personnel Office of his/her intention to return, or request an extension of leave, if eligible. Unless such notice is given, failure to return to work upon expiration of the leave may be considered resignation from service.

  • Duration of Leave An eligible female employee may apply for pregnancy leave, to commence after the 22nd week of pregnancy for a duration of up to 17 weeks. The pregnancy leave of an employee who is not entitled to take parental leave ends on the later of the day that is seventeen weeks after the pregnancy leave began or the day that is six weeks after the birth, still-birth or miscarriage.

  • Continuation of Lease In the event of any Default by Tenant, then in addition to any other remedies available to Landlord at law or in equity and under this Lease, Landlord shall have the remedy described in California Civil Code Section 1951.4 (Landlord may continue this Lease in effect after Tenant’s Default and abandonment and recover Rent as it becomes due, provided tenant has the right to sublet or assign, subject only to reasonable limitations).
