Temporary Certificate of Registration Rate. An employee holding a Temporary Certificate of Registration upon presenting proof of current Certificate of Competence by the College of Nurses of Ontario shall be given the salary of the registered staff nurse as provided in this Article retroactive to the date of sitting the certification examination or the date of last hire, whichever is later.
Temporary Certificate of Registration Rate. An employee holding a Temporary Certificate of Registration upon presenting proof of receiving her General Certificate of Registration by the College of Nurses of Ontario, shall be paid the salary of Registered Nurse. The salary change shall be retroactive to the date of sitting for the certification examination in which she was successful or the date of last hire, whichever is later.
(a) Employees who change their status from full-time to part-time and vice versa, will maintain their same level on the salary grid. In addition, an employee who is so transferred will receive full credit for service accumulated since the date of last advancement.
(b) All changes in salary, whether the result of promotion, demotion, filing with the Employer proof of registration or attainment of a service anniversary, shall become effective in the closest pay period to the date of the change.
(a) A nurse who holds a Temporary or Provisional Certificate of Registration as a Registered Nurse shall be paid in accordance with the Registered Nurse classification, less thirty cents ($0.30) per hour.
(b) The Head Nurse classification shall be paid in accordance with the Registered Nurse classification, plus forty cents ($0.40) per hour.

One hour of premium pay is equal to one hour paid for the purposes of this calculation. Nurses on pregnancy and/or parental leave and/or disability will be credited for hours worked in an amount equal to their accumulation of seniority during such leaves. The cents per hour lump sum is payable to all employees based on the employment status (i.e. Full-time, Regular Part-Time, or Casual) as of December 1, 2011. The payment is not to be taken into account for the calculation of any other entitlement under the terms of the collective agreement (including but not limited to pension, percentage in lieu, vacation, SUB, etc.). The payment is subject to statutory deductions and is to be paid on a separate cheque/ deposit. (a) Full-Time Graduate nurses shall be paid at a rate of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) per month below the rate of a Registered nurse.
(b) Part-Time Graduate Nurses' rate of pay shall be determined by converting the appropriate monthly rate for a Full-Time Graduate Nurse to a daily rate in the same manner as for a Registered Nurse.

(a) In the event that the Employer temporarily assigns an employee who is employed in the Nursing Home division of the Wildwood Care Centre to work in a lower rated classification in the Retirement Home division, the employee will continue to be paid at her regular higher rate of pay, and vice versa. This provision will not apply if the employee is temporarily transferred due to a layoff, recall, inability to perform her work as requested, or at the employee's request.
(b) In the event that an employee is transferred to a lower rated classification either permanently or temporarily as a result of a layoff, recall, job posting, or at the employee's request, the employee will receive the rate of pay on the wage grid, if any, of the lower rated classification that more closely corresponds to his or her experience on the other grid. The employee will be credited with any hours worked in excess of a grid step for purposes of progression on the lower rated grid.
