TIME EMPLOYEE BENEFITS. Regular part time employees shall be provided the opportunity to purchase benefits of one of the plans described in Article XVII, Sections B and C at the Employer plan’s premium cost. The Employer will pay the Employer’s monthly share of the premium cost at a ratio proportionate to the employee’s part time condition of employment contingent upon receipt of the employee’s yearly share of the employee’s premium.
TIME EMPLOYEE BENEFITS. 0261 Less than full-time employees in each of the classifications above shall have medical, dental, and vision insurance available to them but the Board's contribution for said coverage shall be pro-rated based upon the portion of a work week the part-time employee works in relationship to that of a full-time employee in the same classification (i.e., a custodian who works twenty (20) hours per week would have a Board contribution of fifty percent (50%) of that which the Board contributes for a custodian who works forty (40) hours per week).

TIME EMPLOYEE BENEFITS.
A. Individuals working at least half-time (50% full-time equivalent relative to the contractual workday and/or workweek) but less than full-time will be entitled to thefollowing benefits:
1. Sick Days and Personal/Emergency Days – Same as the full-time Employee, with the length of each day prorated by the percentage of the part-time Employee’s full-time-equivalent (FTE) status. The part-time Employee’s total number of sick days and personal/emergency days annually shall be rounded to the nearest half-day for each type of days. (Example: 11 sick days x 0.8 FTE = 8.8 = 9 prorated sick days.) Employees working less than the contractual year will have each type of days prorated to the nearest day.
2. Bereavement Leave – Same as full-time Employees.
3. Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance – Insurance coverage, benefit levels and program options are the same as full-time Employees with a contribution as per Article XIII, Section 1 – Fringe Benefits, if applicable.
B. Individuals who transfer into a position that is less than half-time (50% FTE) will be entitled to the following benefits:
1. Sick leave – Five (5) days per work year.
2. Bereavement Leave – Same as full-time Employees.
3. Regular part-time Employees working less than 50% FTE will be eligible for the Standard Allegheny County Schools Health Insurance Consortium individual health insurance coverage with a contribution as per Article XIII, Section 1 – Fringe Benefits. Regular part-time Employees will be eligible for a spousal buyout benefit of fifty percent (50%) of agreed amount per year, consistent in all other respects, with the plan explained in Article XIII, Section 1 – Fringe Benefits.
