Emergency Vacation. Emergency vacation is defined as leave with less than 24hr notice. No provision in this Agreement shall prevent a department from granting vacation on an emergency basis, subject to such conditions and procedures as that department may adopt. Any requests made that conform to any such adopted conditions and procedures shall be given reasonable consideration. Employees must have an available balance in their vacation bank. Employees in departments that use emergency vacation may request no more than 40 hours of emergency vacation per calendar year subject to management approval.

Emergency Vacation. Regular part-time employees who take up to five days emergency vacation (Section 10.7) shall be paid equivalent to one-fifth of the weekly average of hours paid in the previous calendar year for each single day used as emergency vacation. Such regular part-time employees who utilize an emergency vacation day shall not be required to fulfill their scheduled hours for that day nor suffer any penalty under the attendance policy.
Emergency Vacation. No section in this agreement shall be construed to prohibit an employee from requesting vacation on an emergency basis or short notice (less than fourteen (14) days notice) nor shall it prohibit the employer from granting emergency/short notice use of vacation. The maximum number allowed off for scheduled vacation will not affect requests for emergency vacation. At the Fire Chief’s discretion, accrued vacation days from the coming fiscal year may be used for emergency vacation. Emergency vacation days used in lieu of sick leave cannot be borrowed from the coming fiscal year.

  • Annual Vacation Auxiliary employees will be entitled to receive annual vacation at the rate of four percent (4%) of their regular earnings. After one thousand (1,000) days worked, auxiliary employees will be entitled to receive annual vacation at the rate of six percent (6%) of their regular earnings.

  • Weeks Vacation Subject to Article 17.08 and Article 17.01 (a) (ii), employees shall be entitled to take five (5) weeks vacation leave with pay during the first and subsequent complete fiscal years following the date in which they complete fourteen (14) years of service. Such leave shall be earned at the rate of two and one-twelfth (2 1/12) days for each completed calendar month of service.

  • Emergency Leave Notwithstanding any provision for leave in this Agreement, the Employer may grant leave of absence with or without pay to an employee in emergency or unusual circumstances. Such leave will not be unreasonably denied.

  • Emergency Services Leave 6.17.1 Subject to operational requirements, paid leave of absence shall be granted by the Employer to an Employee who is an active volunteer member of State Emergency Service, St Xxxx Ambulance Brigade, Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service, Xxxx Fire Brigades, Volunteer Marine Rescue Services Groups or FESA Units, in order to allow for attendances at emergencies as declared by the recognised authority.
