Transfer or Reassignment. A. Authority to initiate and to accomplish the reassignment or transfer of certificated/licensed personnel is specifically vested in the Superintendent, to whom all certificated/licensed personnel and responsible Administrators may address written requests for transfer or reassignment. Requests must be accompanied by supportive data and reasons. Efforts shall be made to protect the personal preferences and wishes of the individual. The Principal or other personnel in supervisory or advisory capacities will be consulted, and the interests of the school will be considered; however, public interest must supersede the privileges of the District employees, and the requirements of the District must supersede those of a specific school.
Transfer or Reassignment. Any recommended transfer or reassignment of administrators is a function of the Superintendent. It is agreed that the administrator involved will be notified of the reassignment or transfer far enough in advance of its implementation to plan the future accordingly.
Transfer or Reassignment. When a teacher wishes to be considered for future assignments to, or reassignments to any administrative position, any teaching position, any special duty assignment, or to any building or grade, he/she shall submit a written request to the Superintendent, with a copy to his/her Principal. Prior to filling any vacancy as covered by this paragraph, the Principal shall have a discussion with all applicants involved that they are being considered for the vacancy. The Superintendent shall consider all requests which are submitted as provided above, and as vacancies occur shall select the person who is the best qualified applicant, whether or not he/she is then a licensed employee in the Woodmore School District.
Transfer or Reassignment. Employees who wish to transfer or a reassignment, the following procedures shall be used:
1. The employee shall write and submit a letter specifying positions interested in by April 15 which shall be kept on file by the District.
2. Employment of any new employee for a specific position shall not be made until all those employees who have a pending request for transfer or reassignment have been found by the Superintendent to be unqualified for the position.
3. At least thirty (30) days prior to the beginning of the school year, the Superintendent or his designee shall notify in writing and/or by personal conference each employeewhose request for transfer or reassignment was not granted and the reason(s) for not granting the request.
Transfer or Reassignment. The process by which an employee changes from one position within a classification (job title) to another position within the same classification.
Transfer or Reassignment. 1. The District shall give notice in writing of a transfer or reassignment of a unit member by June 30, except when extenuating circumstances delay the development of a master schedule or developments after June 30 compel transfers or reassignments.
a. Transfer shall mean a change in building assignment.
b. Reassignment shall mean: • Elementary- grade level changes • Middle School/High School - a change from the previous year's course assignment.
2. Current employees who apply for newly-posted vacancies will have their qualifications reviewed by the responsible administrator and considered for transfer into that vacancy. Should the administrator decide to grant the transfer, he/she will do so and a posting and screening will be done for the then newly created vacancy. Should the current employee not be granted the transfer, he/she will be so notified in writing by the responsible administrator. Following said notification, the issue of that person's candidacy is concluded. Should the person so request, a personal meeting will be held with the principal and/or Superintendent. Such meeting shall be scheduled no later than 10 school days following notification of the denial of the transfer.
3. When a transfer or reassignment is made, the unit member and an administrator will discuss the reasons for such change.
4. Unit members who are transferred or reassigned to teach in an uncertified area will receive payment for courses in accordance with Article 17.K. Any such transfer or reassignment must be made in accordance with the applicable rule, regulation,statute or laws.
Transfer or Reassignment. 12.1 Any request for reassignment from the teacher from one program to another or from one grade to another should be in writing to the District Superintendent.
12.2 When received, this request will be placed on file for 1 year, and a written acknowledgement sent to the teacher.
12.3 If no opening exists when the request is received, it will be filed and reacted to when an opening occurs.
12.4 Notification of all assignment changes will be made as soon as possible to meet the needs of the school district.
12.5 All voluntary reassignments shall be for good and sufficient reason based on the educational needs of the school district.
12.6 When openings occur, the Administration will take said file into consideration first in filling the opening. The person(s) interested will be notified in writing and need to respond within six (6) working days of the postmark should they be chosen for the position.
12.7 In cases of an involuntary reassignment, the teacher and the administrator shall have a conference regarding the reassignment before it becomes final.
12.8 When a teacher is reassigned to work in an area outside of the teacher's credential, the District shall pay the actual cost of the application for the issuance of such credential.
12.9 Involuntary transfers shall not be initiated by the District except for good and sufficient reason based upon the educational needs of the District.
Transfer or Reassignment. Upon transfer or reassignment to a new position, there shall be no immediate change in the annual salary of an employee unless his salary at the time of such transfer or reassignment is below the minimum of the salary grade to which the new position is allocated. Should an employee be reassigned, such transfer or reassignment shall be considered a promotion and the legal provisions governing promotions shall apply.
Transfer or Reassignment. A transfer or a reassignment may be unit member-initiated or District-initiated.
Transfer or Reassignment. An academic staff member may, by agreement between the member and the University, be assigned to a new academic unit or department (Article 13.9) within the member's field of competence, or to a different geographic location, with no reduction in rank, salary, rights, seniority, or benefits. If the University no longer requires performance of the work associated with the member’s duties outlined in Article 16, the University may assign other duties to the member. These duties shall be within the member’s competence and shall lead to no reduction in rank, salary, rights, seniority, or benefits for the member. Offers to transfer, whether made by the University or the academic staff member, shall not be refused unreasonably. The Faculty Association shall be present at all ensuing discussions between the University and the member relating to terms and conditions of the transfer. Any final agreement shall be placed in writing and provided to the member, with a copy to the Faculty Association, before the transfer or reassignment becomes effective.
