TULIP TIME. A. Tulip Time runs for all Tulip Time activities (including the children’s parade and band buses) shall be posted on Tulip Time sign up sheets three (3) weeks prior to the Tulip Time parade. The following procedures shall be followed in the order below:

TULIP TIME. During the afternoon of the District-designated Tulip Time day, when students in their buildings are released to participate in Tulip Time activities, secretaries may be permitted by the principal/supervisor to attend Tulip Time activities without loss of pay. Employees who are not excused for Tulip Time shall perform their jobs as usual.
TULIP TIME. The following provisions shall apply to Tulip Time.
TULIP TIME. When school days are scheduled as half student instructional days because of Tulip Time events these days shall be full teacher work days. Walking in the parade, as part of a job responsibility, will be considered work time for staff, otherwise staff are required to report to work during and fulfill their normal work day or request personal leave for this time. When any events in which staff normally participate (such as a parade) are canceled for any reason these day(s) shall become full instructional days for students and staff.
TULIP TIME. A. When the number of runs is determined for the children’s parade, the number of bus drivers in reverse seniority order must sign up to correspond with the number of runs necessary. All drivers may sign up for the children’s parade Tulip Time runs. The District will first assign Tulip Time runs to non- substitute bus drivers listed on the sign-up sheets according to seniority. C. In the event that additional bus drivers are still needed after Paragraph B is completed, the District will offer Tulip Time runs to substitute drivers. D. In the event that additional bus drivers are still needed after Paragraph C is completed, the District may assign Tulip Time runs on an involuntary basis to drivers, with the least senior remaining driver given the first involuntary assignment, and the remaining drivers assigned in reverse order of seniority. E. Instead of involuntary assignments, the District has the option to fill unassigned Tulip Time runs through temporary transfers or employment of outside temporary workers at its discretion. F. A bus driver cannot accept a Tulip Time run that conflicts with his/her regularly scheduled run.

  • Comp Time In lieu of payment for overtime hours worked, the employee may request to take compensatory time off. Approval shall be at the discretion of the Department Head. If the request is approved by the Department Head, one and one-half (1 2) hours of compensatory time shall be credited for each overtime hour worked. A maximum accrual of compensatory time shall be forty (40) hours. Flex Time. The County recognizes and supports the concept of Flex time. Flex time is allowed within the work week as it is defined in Article 20, Section 2 of this contract. If an employee requests, an employee and their department head may agree to allow an employee to flex their schedule. However, in some departments and under some circumstances flex time may not be feasible and will not be permitted. No employee shall be required to take flex time off in order to avoid the payment of overtime or as a condition of continued employment.

During prep time, teachers must be allowed full access to their class room or designated workspace without disruption. Part-time teachers shall receive a pro-rated preparation period based on ten (10) minutes for each class period taught, with a minimum of thirty (30) minutes per day.

  • Central Time After all Parties have been notified, the provisions of paragraphs (b) and (c) of this Section 2.1 shall apply.”

  • Show Up Time An employee who reports to work in the usual manner without having been notified that there is no work available and is sent home because of lack of work before having worked four (4) hours shall receive a minimum of four (4) hours pay at their prevailing hourly rate. The employee shall also receive their full accommodation allowance if and when applicable. Each employee must inform the Employer of a means of being contacted on short notice. If an attempt is made by the Employer at least two (2) hours before the employee’s shift commences by way of the contact information provided, in an effort to inform the employee of a lack of work, and the Employer is unable to do so, the employee will not be entitled to show up time.

  • Wash-Up Time 60.01 Where the Employer determines that due to the nature of the work there is a clear cut need, wash-up time up to a maximum of ten (10) minutes will be permitted before the end of the working day, or immediately following and contiguous to the working day.
