UNIFORMS AND SAFETY SHOES. A unit member who is provided a uniform and safety shoes is required to wear the uniform and safety shoes in the prescribed manner while performing his/her duties for the Board of Education. The unit member will be provided with five (5) sets of uniforms and two (2) pairs of safety shoes. If the uniform and/or safety shoes become unserviceable, the unit member will return the uniform and/or safety shoes for replacement. The following unit members will be provided uniforms.
UNIFORMS AND SAFETY SHOES. 29.1 In those classifications where the employer requires that the employee wear safety shoes, the City shall, effective the first full pay period following ratification of the labor agreement, issue an allowance in the amount of One Hundred and Seventy-Five Dollars ($175.00) for the purchase of an initial pair of safety shoes.
29.2 When, due to wear and tear or accidental job destruction, a replacement pair of shoes is required, the City will grant up to an additional One Hundred and Seventy-Five Dollars ($175.00) for the purchase of another pair of safety shoes.
29.3 Employees in those classifications required to wear safety shoes shall be subject to the loss of a day's pay for each day that the employee reports to work not wearing the required safety shoes. Action under this section shall not be grievable under the Grievance Procedure or appealable
UNIFORMS AND SAFETY SHOES. Mechanics shall be provided five (5) complete uniforms (shirts and trousers). The employer shall maintain mechanics uniforms. Such uniforms must be returned to the employer upon separation from the District. Unit members will reimburse the employer for any lost uniforms. All mechanics, mechanic assistants, and transportation workers who repair vehicles are required to wear safety shoes while at work. Upon authorization of the Transportation Director, the District will reimburse these employees up to $75 annually to purchase the appropriate work shoes.
UNIFORMS AND SAFETY SHOES. SECTION 1 In the event that the Company requires the use of uniform as a condition of employment, the Company shall provide five (5) uniforms upon the employee's entry and five additional uniforms as of the date of his anniversaries for service or one year after the previous ones have been handed in without any cost whatsoever to the employee; it being provided that in those cases in which the Company understands the use of overalls to be necessary, in addition to uniforms, it shall provide the employees two (2) overalls upon entry and two (2) on the anniversary or one year after the previous ones have been handed over. The employee shall utilize these uniforms only when they are performing essential functions of their job, with the employee having to make good use of the same.
SECTION 2 In those situations in which because of provisions of law applicable to the Company or when the Company itself requires the use of safety shoes, the same shall be provided to the employee without cost. These shoes shall be utilized only when the employee is performing his functions, with the employee having to make good use of them.
SECTION 3 If the Company does not hand over the uniforms on the scheduled dates, this does not have the effect that it is not obligated to hand over the same; then, at the next handing over, it must supply the totality of the uniforms owed up to that moment.
UNIFORMS AND SAFETY SHOES. Where uniforms are required by the Company, the Company will provide employees with an adequate number of uniforms. will be supplied with four (4) uniforms. Males will be supplied with three (3) pairs of pants. Males will also receive four (4) shirts. Maintenance Department employees will be supplied with five (5) pairs of pants and five
UNIFORMS AND SAFETY SHOES. 1. Uniforms furnished by the Department shall be worn and changed in the manner prescribed by MDWASD policies. Employees shall at all times, while on duty, wear the prescribed uniform, which shall be kept in a reasonably neat and clean condition. MDWASD will provide laundry service for Department furnished uniforms to classifications in the Wastewater and Water Divisions.
2. Safety shoes will be issued in accordance with determination made by MDWASD’s Safety Unit for classifications.
3. Jackets will only be issued to those classifications who mainly work outside or interact with customers outside/in the field, and any additional classifications as determined by MDWASD. Jackets will be issued once during the term of this contract, at the request of the employee. Jackets will not be laundered.
UNIFORMS AND SAFETY SHOES. 32.1 The District shall continue to provide a uniform allowance to those eligible unit members in accordance with past practice.
32.2 The District also agrees to supply safety shoes to those unit members working in areas requiring such, as reasonably determined by the District.
UNIFORMS AND SAFETY SHOES. A. Uniforms will be provided by the Authority to all employees whose position requires them. Authority issued uniforms (i.e. pants, shirts, jackets, gloves, hats, etc.) must be worn at all times. The Authority will also provide bi-weekly cleaning service for Authority provided uniforms at no expense to the employee. Employees are responsible to reimburse the Authority the cost for missing uniforms at the time of separation of service. The Authority will deduct any remaining costs from the employee’s final check.
UNIFORMS AND SAFETY SHOES. If the City requires the employees to wear uniforms, it shall provide such uniforms and provide repair at no cost to the employee. Garage employees are the only employees who will receive laundering services at no cost to the employee. For those employees required to wear safety shoes, the City shall provide a shoe allowance of $200 each year of the contract, concurrent with the first paycheck in July. The Finance Department shall issue a separate check for this amount. These shoes must be OSHA or City certified for the specific job performed by the employee. The City shall provide three (3) City sweatshirts to employees, and they shall be replaced at no cost to the employee upon proof of wear. As an alternative to the sweatshirts, in any contract year, the employee may receive one ANSI approved winter coat as agreed upon between the union and management, at a cost not to exceed $40.00. The City shall provide (5) five short sleeve shirts, and they shall be replaced at no cost to the employee upon proof of wear. Employees may purchase additional shirts at the city’s acquisition cost. There will be a choice of two different shirts, one with a collar and one without, and they will consist of a minimum of 50% cotton bearing a City emblem and department name. Employees working in the street will be required to wear an orange shirt; all other employees will wear gray. The non-collared shirt selected shall have a breast pocket. The shirt provided shall not be considered a uniform. Employees shall be allowed to wear these shirts during non-working hours and shall not be required to wear them while working during non-regularly scheduled hours. The following job classifications may wear short sleeve shirts and may wear shorts. The type of shorts will be subject to department head approval. When safety and/or health of the employee requires it, the employee shall wear protective clothing in addition to the short sleeve shirt. The shirts provided shall not be considered a uniform for purposes of the prior paragraph.
