Use of Floating Holidays. Employees shall not be unreasonably denied the use of floating holidays. Employees will be informed of the approval or denial of their floating holiday requests within a reasonable period of time. If the employee’s request is denied, the supervisor will confer with the employee to arrange an alternative date.
Use of Floating Holidays. The floating holidays may be taken at any time during the fiscal year with the prior approval of the employee’s department head. Floating holidays are earned at the rate of one (1) day for six (6) months or less of service in the fiscal year or two (2) days for more than the six (6) months of service. The floating holidays may not be accumulated and carried forward to the next fiscal year.
Use of Floating Holidays. All Floating Holiday hours must be used within the fiscal year in which they are earned. Any Floating Holiday hours remaining on the books at the end of the fiscal year shall be forfeited. Employees in the position of CAD/RMS Administrator-Public Safety Dispatch Supervisor or Public Safety Dispatch Supervisor may cash out up to forty (40) hours of unused holiday leave hours on the first payday in June and December each year.
Use of Floating Holidays. Floating holidays shall be considered as personal holidays to be taken during the fiscal year at the employee's discretion with the approval of the employee's supervisor. Such approval will not be unreasonably withheld. Floating holiday requests must be answered within ten (10) working days if submitted after the deadline for vacation scheduling for the current vacation scheduling period, only if the floating holiday requested falls within the current vacation scheduling period or the current vacation period. Floating holiday requests submitted with less than one (1) working day advance notice shall not be unreasonably denied provided workload allows. Floating holiday requests that are submitted on the Quarterly Vacation/Absence Request form shall be answered within fifteen (15) working days.
Use of Floating Holidays. Floating holidays shall be taken as follows: The first floating holiday shall be taken between January 1 and June 30 of the calendar year. The second floating holiday shall be taken between July 1 and December 31 of the calendar year. Employee Floating Holiday requests shall be processed in the same manner as Article 13, Section 2Annual Leave. New employees hired after July 1st in any year are only entitled one (1) Floating Holiday for that calendar year. Floating holidays are forfeited if not taken during the prescribed time period and unused floating holidays may not be carried over from the first half of the year into the second or into a subsequent calendar year (as applicable). Further, unused floating holidays may not be converted into cash for purposes of payout either during the year or if they remain unused at the end of the year. Floating holidays may not be utilized by a probationary employee prior to completion of ninety (90) days after initial employment, but, as an exception, may be carried into the next half-year if unable to be used as a consequence of the employee’s probationary period.

  • Floating Holidays In addition to the authorized days in 9.2. each employee, including each academic employee, shall be authorized two (2) floating holidays of his/her choice per fiscal year.

  • Floating Holiday In each fiscal year covered by the term of this Memorandum each eligible employee available for a duty assignment on July 1, (as defined in Personnel Regulation H-2) shall accrue credit for hours of holiday time equal to the hours worked in the employee’s shift up to ten (10) hours. Each employee accruing such time shall comply with the following conditions:

  • GENERAL HOLIDAYS 13.01 The following days shall be recognized and considered as paid general holidays: New Year's Day Labour Day Xxxxx Xxxx Day Thanksgiving Day Good Friday Remembrance Day Victoria Day Christmas Day Canada Day Boxing Day Xxxxx Xxx Day and any other day or portion of a day designated as a paid holiday by the Civic, Provincial or Federal Government.

  • Public Holidays 11.1 The following days are public holidays: New Year's Day, Australia Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Anzac Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day, and any other gazetted public holidays in the relevant state or territory in which the work is being performed, other than:

  • Annual Holidays (i) On completion of 12 months continuous service an employee shall be entitled to annual paid leave of 4 working weeks.

  • Legal Holidays In any case where the date on which any payment is due shall not be a Business Day, then (notwithstanding any other provision of the Notes or this Indenture) payment need not be made on such date, but may be made on the next succeeding Business Day with the same force and effect as if made on the date on which nominally due, and no interest shall accrue for the period from and after any such nominal date.

  • STATUTORY HOLIDAYS 12.01 The following holidays shall be recognized as legal holidays: New Year’s Day Labour Day Good Friday Thanksgiving Day Victoria Day Christmas Day Dominion Day Boxing Day Civic Holiday

  • 000 STATUTORY HOLIDAYS 18.100 The following days will constitute the recognized holidays within the terms of this agreement. Any other holiday proclaimed by either the Provincial or Federal Government will be automatically recognized within this Agreement.
