Vacation Assignment. Vacation leave will be awarded on a first come first served basis. Where two or more employees simultaneously request vacation leave for the same or overlapping periods, the senior employee shall be awarded first choice. If an employee enters the 4th quarter (Jan-Mar) and does not have a vacation plan, they shall be directed to schedule the remainder of their vacation. If they have not scheduled their vacation within two (2) weeks of being requested to do so, Management reserves the right to schedule a vacation period in consultation with the employee, ensuring that no more than five (5) vacation days are carried over.

Vacation Assignment. The Department Head shall determine the number of employees who can be assigned for vacation purposes at any one time, agreeing that an effort shall be made to schedule vacation leave in accordance with the manpower and workload requirements as determined by the Employer. Vacation leave shall be granted giving preference to seniority employees. All employees shall indicate prior to January 1 of that calendar year of those dates that they desire to take their eligible vacation leave during February 1 of that calendar year and January 31 of the next calendar year. A final vacation list shall be prepared by the Department Head and distributed to all employees not later than January 15 of any calendar year, indicating those dates agreed upon.

  • Work Assignment 1. It is understood that the assignment of work to purchased services does not convey a right to such work in the future, nor does it create any precedent with respect to future assignment of such work to purchased service employees by the employer.

  • Overtime Assignment A. In institutional settings when the Agency determines that overtime is necessary, overtime shall be offered on a rotating basis, to the qualified employees who usually work the shift where the opportunity occurs. If no qualified employees on the shift desire to work the overtime, it will be offered on a rotating basis first to the qualified employee with the most state seniority at the work site. When there are no volunteers to work the overtime as outlined above, and/or where an emergency exists, reasonable overtime hours may be required by the Agency. Such overtime shall be assigned, on a rotating basis, first to the qualified employee with the least state seniority at the work site. This policy shall not apply to overtime work which is specific to a particular employee’s claim load or specialized work assignment or when the incumbent is required to finish a work assignment.

  • Shift Assignment Should the University elect to establish a shift on any other schedule than the regular day shift (Monday through Friday) or to assign employees to work on any such shift, the employee(s) with the most seniority in the classification affected or to be assigned on such shift shall have preference in moving to such shift. If an insufficient number of employees in the classification elect to move to such shift, then the employee(s) with the least seniority in the classification shall be assigned to such shift. If positions or shifts are reduced or eliminated or movement of personnel to other shifts is required, then the seniority of the affected employee will prevail in the selection of shift, provided the affected employee can do the required work. Such shift preference is only applicable within the employee's classification.

  • Work Assignments Section 1. The Company shall determine whether to staff a position or fill a vacancy and the method or combination of methods it shall use for such purposes. In making this determination, the Company shall first give consideration to qualified laid off employees with applications on file in accordance with Article 14 Section 7 of this Agreement and then internal candidates prior to off-street applicants. All vacancies within the Bargaining Unit shall be posted (manually or electronically) in locations where Bargaining Unit employees regularly work. The posting shall include the title, wage range, and sufficient information regarding requirements and duties to adequately describe the vacancy. The vacancy shall remain posted for seven (7) calendar days which shall be spread between two (2) workweeks.

  • Teaching Assignment For teaching faculty, the teaching assignment will be one or a combination of programs, courses, or student originated studies offerings (all of which are collectively referred to as “academic offerings” below). For full-time faculty the normal teaching assignment will be a program. For part-time faculty the normal assignment is either a program and/or course(s), depending on the terms of their contract. In addition, faculty may support individual learning contracts.

  • DELEGATION, ASSIGNMENT AND SUBCONTRACTS A. CONTRACTOR may not delegate the obligations hereunder, either in whole or in part, without prior written consent of COUNTY. CONTRACTOR shall provide written notification of CONTRACTOR’s intent to delegate the obligations hereunder, either in whole or part, to ADMINISTRATOR not less than sixty (60) calendar days prior to the effective date of the delegation. Any attempted assignment or delegation in derogation of this paragraph shall be void.

  • Room Assignment The Landlord will assign rooms in accordance with the current assignment practice set by Residence Services. The Landlord reserves the right to transfer or move Tenants when deemed necessary. Tenants failing to arrive within 48 hours of the specified move-in date, without informing Residence Services of the delay, will lose their room assignment.

  • SUBLET/ASSIGNMENT The Lessee may not transfer or assign this Lease, or any right or interest hereunder or sublet said leased Premises or any part thereof without first obtaining the prior written consent and approval of the Lessor.
