Vacation Leave Deferral. With the approval of the Union, an employee may, for any reason, defer vacation leave one (1) time only while working within this bargaining unit. They must defer when contacted by the Vacation Scheduling Committee prior to selecting any other forty (40) hour blocks. A deferral may be from one (1) to four (4) forty (40) hour blocks. Medical deferrals are granted on a case-by-case basis, agreed to by the Employer and the Union, and do not count towards the one time deferral.

Vacation Leave Deferral. ‌ With the approval of the Union, an employee may, for any reason, make a one (1) time only scheduled vacation leave deferral while working under this Agreement. A deferral may be from one (1) to twenty (20) days and shall constitute the one (1) time for any reason deferral. Vacation deferrals must be declared, in writing on the vacation bid form, prior to the annual vacation bidding process, or during the bidding call to the employee. One- time/any-reason vacation deferrals will not be considered after an employee has chosen their vacation blocks and the committee has moved on to the next call. Medical deferrals may also be granted on a case-by-case basis when agreed upon by the Employer and the Union and shall not count toward the one (1) time “for any reason” deferral. Medical deferrals may occur before or after a scheduled vacation.

  • Vacation Leave Accrual ‌ After a full-time employee has been in pay status for eighty (80) non-overtime hours in a calendar month, the employee will accrue vacation leave according to the rate schedule below. Vacation leave accrual for part-time employees will be proportionate to the number of hours the part-time employee is in pay status during the month to that required for full-time employment.

  • Vacation Leave Credits ‌ Full-time and part-time employees will be credited with vacation leave accrued monthly, according to the rate schedule and vacation leave accrual below.

  • Vacation Year The vacation year shall be April 1 to March 31, inclusive.

  • Recall from Vacation Leave Where, during any period of vacation leave, an employee is recalled to duty, such employee shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses, as normally defined by the Employer, that such employee incurs:

  • Accumulation of Vacation Leave Credits 31.1.1 An employee shall earn in respect of each fiscal year, annual vacation leave with pay at the following rates for each calendar month in which the employee receives at least seventy-five (75) hours’ pay:

  • Vacation Leave Maximum Employees may accumulate maximum vacation leave balances not to exceed two hundred and forty (240) hours. However, there are two (2) exceptions that allow vacation leave to accumulate above the maximum:

  • Vacation Leave A part-time employee shall earn vacation leave credits for each month in which the employee receives pay for at least twice the number of hours in the employee’s normal workweek, at the rate for years of service established in clause 34.02 of this Agreement, prorated and calculated as follows:

  • Leave Pay A. Fifteen (15) days of sick leave shall be credited to a school year employee after reporting for their first day of work. All unused sick leave and personal leave days from the current year will be added to the bank of sick days for the following year. All unused sick leave days in excess of ninety (90) days shall be returned to the employee at the end of the current school year on the basis of fifteen dollars ($15.00) per day.

  • VACATION LEAVE WITH PAY 14.01 The vacation year shall be from April 1st of one calendar year to March 31st of the following calendar year inclusive.

  • Sick Leave Payout No cash payment for unused sick leave will be paid to any employee leaving the service of the Employer.
