WAGE RATES OF PAY. 8.01 Wage Schedules and other provisions applicable to various job classifications and work descriptions are as set forth in Schedule "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof. It is understood and agreed that the Employer and the Union will jointly determine the wage schedule applicable to a project prior to its commencement if there is a possible dispute. (a) Additional classifications may be established only by mutual agreement between the Employer and the Union during the term of this Agreement, and the rates for same shall be subject to negotiations between the Employer and the Union. (b) When a new job classification is introduced which is not included in the list of classifications in Schedule "A", the Company and the Union shall promptly negotiate a wage rate for such classification. Every effort will be made by the parties to conclude negotiations within thirty (30) days, but in any event, the rate established shall be retroactive to the day the new job commenced. (c) In the event the parties are not able to agree to an acceptable hourly rate or schedule in 8.01 or 8.02 the matter shall be referred to arbitration as provided for in Article 23 or shall be referred to the Canadian Joint Grievance Panel. 8.03 Start Time Pay An employee who reports for work as scheduled, without having been notified that there is no work available, and who is sent home because of lack of work, shall receive a minimum of two (2) hours pay at his prevailing hourly rate providing that the employee has reported to work in person and is fit to perform his or her duties and complies with recognized Health and safety Regulations including those of the Workers Compensation Board. Where an employee believes that the Employer may not have work available on a particular day, the employee may phone the Employer's answering service before proceeding to the job site - in order to determine whether or not work is available. If the Employer's answering service states that work is not available, the Employee shall not be call out time.

  • Rates of Pay (a) Employees shall be paid in accordance with the rates of pay negotiated by the Parties of this Agreement. For information purposes, the applicable rates of pay are recorded as Appendix A to this Agreement. (b) The distribution of paycheques shall be done in such a manner that the details of the paycheque shall be confidential.

  • Wage Rates Contractor shall post a copy of the wage rates at the job site and shall pay the adopted prevailing wage rates as a minimum. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 1773 of the Labor Code of the State of California, the Board of Supervisors has obtained the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the general prevailing rate for holiday and overtime work in this locality for each craft, classification, or type of xxxxxxx needed to execute this Contract from the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations. These rates are on file with the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors. Copies may be obtained at cost at the office of County's OC Public Works/OC Facilities & Asset Management/A&E Project Management or visit the website of the Department of Industrial Relations, Prevailing Wage Unit at xxx.xxx.xx.xxx/XXXX/XXX. The Contractor shall comply with the provisions of Sections 1774, 1775, 1776 and 1813 of the Labor Code.

  • Rate of Pay a. An Employee who is employed as a teacher teaching on call shall be paid 1/189 of his/her category classification and experience, to a maximum of the rate at Category 5 Step 7, for each full day worked. b. Effective July 1, 2016, an Employee who is employed as a teacher teaching on call shall be paid 1/189 of his/her category classification and experience, to a maximum of the rate at Category 5 Step 8, for each full day worked.
