Posted Work Schedules. The following will govern the posting of schedules for both full time and part time nurses:
(a) Scheduled shifts showing the days and hours to be worked and days off will be posted at least four (4) weeks in advance in order to have a minimum of four (4) weeks of the schedule showing at all times. Should it be necessary for the Employer to make changes in the posted time with less than twenty-four (24) hours notice, the nurses affected by such change shall be paid time and one-half (1½) for the first shift of the new schedule. Nurses shall be entitled to personal notification of any changes to the posted time schedules (including additions or deletions of shifts). The posted schedule is understood to be the master schedule and therein this article references that document. The daily schedules that are delivered to the Lodges to support after-hours scheduling are solely a job aid for Registered Nurses and should not be construed as the posted schedule.
(b) Nurses may be allowed to mutually exchange shifts to a maximum of five (5) shifts in a schedule period. Such exchanges initiated by nurses shall not result in any overtime and shall be approved by the Director of Nursing or designate for approval.
Posted Work Schedules. The Employer shall post work schedules for each employee on the Monday, two (2) weeks prior to the beginning of the next pay period. An employee whose posted work schedule is to be changed shall be notified as soon as possible of such change. All requests for scheduling changes must be made two weeks in advance of posting the schedule. It is recognized and understood that deviations from the employee’s posted hours of work will occur from time to time resulting from several causes; such as, but not limited to, low census, vacations, leaves of absence, weekend and holiday duty, absenteeism, Employer request, temporary shortage of personnel and emergencies. No such deviation shall be considered a violation of this contract.

Posted Work Schedules. The hours and days of work of each shall be posted two (2) weeks in advance and shall cover not less than a four (4) week period. Requests for specific days off are to be submitted in writing at least two (2) weeks in advance of posting. Requests for change in posted time schedules must be submitted in writing and by the employee willing to exchange days off. any event, it is understood that any change in schedule initiated by the employee and approved by the Employer, or initiated by the Employer and consented to by the employee, shall not result in overtime compensation or payment. At the the schedule is posted, hours will be equalized as closely as possible among all of the part-time employees within a classification in the Department. The Hospital will not schedule split shifts for any employee in terms of breaking up their shift of seven and one-half (7 hours and one-half hour meal period into two (2) or more components. An individual may request weekend only work and such request will be considered. If the request is then it understood that hours for that individual will not be equalized with the other part-time employees. A request for weekend only work or request to to regular part-time scheduling need only be considered twice in a calendar year for each individual employee. It is agreed that the Hospital will notify the Chairperson of any request which is granted or denied. Additional Unscheduled (call-in) Shifts
Posted Work Schedules. 12.8.1 Deviation from the posted schedule, not resulting in overtime, shall be by mutual agreement with the employees affected and the Employer. If there is no mutual agreement between the employees and the Employer, the employees will work the scheduled days as posted, subject to the conditions of this Agreement.
Posted Work Schedules. 7/2/1 Where required, employees’ work schedules shall be posted on bulletin boards as provided in the Agreement and on appropriate management bulletin boards convenient to the work area involved at least fourteen (14) calendar days before the start of the period covered.

The Employer will make a good faith effort to offer open shifts to bargaining unit members prior to filling those shifts with agency personnel, unless the shifts need to be offered or given to agency personnel for the purposes of satisfying their contract.

e) Where additional shifts become available to be scheduled after (b) above, those shifts will be offered to part-time employees within that classification and department, on the basis of rotating seniority.
(i) After exhausting the part-time employees within the classification and immediate department on a regular straight time hourly rate of pay, the Employer shall offer hours to the Casual employees within the immediate department in accordance with Article 24:05;
(ii) Additional shifts remaining available after (i) above will be offered to the employees within the classification within the bargaining unit who have indicated in writing their desire to accept shifts in other departments on the basis of rotating seniority. It is understood and agreed that to be considered for said shifts, employees must have a demonstrated familiarity with the department such that they are able to work said available shifts without training or orientation;
(iii) Additional shifts ...
Posted Work Schedules. The Employer retains the right to adjust work schedules to maintain an efficient and orderly operation. The Employer shall determine and post monthly work schedules ten (10) calendar days preceding the expiration of the current schedule. Schedules once posted may be amended by mutual agreement. Any request for special scheduling shall be submitted to the supervisor at least twenty (20) calendar days prior to the issuance of the monthly schedule unless mutually agreed otherwise. Any changes in a nurse’s posted schedule to be initiated by the supervisor shall be discussed with the nurse involved prior to making the change.
