Student Employment. (a) Students who are employed to backfill in a bargaining unit position shall be paid the bargaining unit rate and if so employed for more than ten (10) weeks will be a member of the bargaining unit.
Student Employment. Students and youths employed by the Municipality shall be paid as shown in 7.01 and 7.02 below and shall be covered by all the terms and conditions contained in this Collective Agreement, except as provided for in 7.03 below:
Student Employment. The Association recognizes that it is the policy of the University to provide employment for students to assist them in obtaining an education. No employee in the Unit shall be displaced or replaced by a student employee. The University, by November 1 and March 1 of each fiscal year or upon request, will provide to the Association a list of students employed with their department, hours worked per week and rate of pay identified.
Student Employment. (a) The district may hire up to six (6) students per year to be paid at the student rate of pay.
Student Employment. 16.01 In the event employment is offered to students (who are continuing their education), during the period of April 15 through to Labour Day, they shall be employed under the following conditions:
Student Employment. Northern Michigan University and Local 1950 of the UAW recognize and agree that the employment of students is a part of the total financial aid program at the University. Any person enrolled for at least six (6) credit hours in a degree granting program and employed under the work- study program or any other student employment program monitored by the Financial Aid Office, or performing services for compensation in order to fulfill an academic requirement, student internship, or graduate assistantship shall be considered a student employee. A graduate student is required to be enrolled for a minimum of four (4) credit hours in a degree granting program to qualify as a student employee. It is understood that student employees will not be hired to replace or displace a bargaining unit employee, nor to reduce the number of positions in the bargaining unit, nor prevent new bargaining unit positions from being created. This provision will not require the University to lay off any student employee nor will it prevent the University from replacing student employees who leave with a like number of additional hours.
Student Employment. Where a person is enrolled as a student, employment under a fixed-term contract may be adopted as the appropriate type of employment for work activity, not within the description of another circumstance in the preceding paragraphs of this subclause, that is work within the student’s academic unit or an associated research unit of that academic unit and is work generally related to a degree course that the student is undertaking with the academic unit, provided that:
Student Employment. The school does not encourage students to take jobs outside of school that could interfere with their success in school. If a student believes that he/she must maintain a job in addition to attending school, he/she should first make contact with the Principal to discuss any legal requirements and obtain the needed documents. Work permits are issued by Xxxxx Center Public Schools and can be obtained from the main office. STUDENT FEES, FINES & CHARGES Xxxxx Center West Middle School may charge specific fees for non-curricular activities and programs. Such fees or charges are determined by the cost of materials, freight/handling fees, and add-on fees for loss or damage to school property. Students abusing school property and equipment may be subject to disciplinary action. A fine is used to pay for the damage, not to make a profit. Late fines can be avoided when students return borrowed materials promptly. Failure to pay fines, fees, or charges may result in the withholding of grades and credits.
Student Employment. Students may be employed during the school year and summer vacation from school. The JLMC shall have the authority to limit the employment of students it deems necessary to offset unemployment of regular workers.
Student Employment. 29.1 It is the policy of the Employer to provide jobs for students to assist them in obtaining an education. The Employer shall not use students to replace the regular work force within the Bargaining Unit but only to supplement the work force. The President of OUCMT will be provided every two (2) months a list of students employed in each department.
