2018-19 School Year. 1. For employees at the top step of the wage schedule: a. Employees at the top step of their respective wage schedules shall receive an on-schedule wage increase of 3.0% as of the payroll period following the beginning of the second semester of the 2018-19 school year. b. In addition, employees who are employed as of July 1, 2018, shall receive an off-schedule bonus in the amount of $650 (Six Hundred Fifty Dollars) before December 25, 2018 (pro-rated for less than full-time employees). This payment will be made to those employees who are still employed by the District as of the date that such payment is made.

2018-19 School Year a. Effective July 1, 2018 for the 2018-19 school year, the parties agree that the District shall increase the 2017-2018 OTA salary schedule consistent with Attachment A (2018-19) by Three Percent (3%). (Note: This 3% increase shall not apply to the Masters or Doctorate stipend and shall not apply to any other compensation provisions included in the parties’ collective bargaining agreement.) b. Effective July 1, 2018, a new Step 11 and a new Step 12 shall be added to the 2018-2019 teacher salary schedule consistent with Attachment A (2018-19). c. Effective July 1, 2018, the Longevity Stipends have been adjusted based upon years of service. (See Attachment A (2018-19), the 2018-19 Salary Schedule for implementation of this section). 18.1.1 The District has made the State of California's three "staff development days" part of the standard school year calendar. These "staff development days" shall be treated as regularly scheduled work days subject to all the rights and responsibilities enjoyed by both the District and the bargaining unit members as outlined in statute and the collective bargaining agreement. 18.1.2 Unit members will receive a longevity increment of $1403.00 commencing with their 15th year of teaching in the Orchard School District. They will receive an additional $2104.00 longevity increment commencing with their 20th year of teaching in Orchard School District, an additional $2805.00 longevity increment commencing with their 25st year of teaching in the Orchard School District, an additional $3506.00 longevity increment commencing with their 30th year of teaching in the Orchard School District. 18.1.3 The Masters Degree supplement shall be $1,350. The Doctorate Degree supplement shall be $3,375. 18.1.4 The hourly rate of pay for certificated employees shall be $38.00. This is the minimum rate of pay; other levels of pay may be agreed to for various special projects or other work. In addition, employees shall be eligible to receive an efficiency bonus, if such bonus is offered by the Office of School Nutrition. The amount and criteria for eligibility to receive the efficiency bonus shall be established by the Office of School Nutrition. It is understood and agreed that for the 2017-18 and 2018-19 school years, the District will continue to use the same formula for determining the efficiency bonus as reflected in Article 25.E of the current contract.

In addition, full-time employees who are employed as of July 1, 2018, shall receive an off-schedule bonus in the amount of $650 (Six Hundred Fifty Dollars) before December 25, 2018. c. Less than full-time employees (i.e., an employee regularly scheduled to work less than 30 hours per week) who are employed as of July 1, 2018, shall receive an off-schedule bonus in the amount of $250 (Two Hundred Fifty Dollars) before December 25, 2018. 2. For employees on steps a. Employees on steps other than the top of the wage schedule shall receive an on-schedule wage increase of 3.0% as of the payroll period following the second semester of the 2018-19 school year. b. In addition, full-time employees who are employed as of July 1, 2018, shall receive an off-schedule bonus in the amount of $250 (Two Hundred Fifty Dollars) before December 25, 2018. c. In addition, such employees shall also move one step on their respective wage schedule as of the payroll period following the second semester of the 2018-19 school year. 3. Bus Attendant and Assistant Dispatcher a. Increase Bus Attendant rate to $11.00 per hour b. Increase Assistant Dispatcher rate to $12.00 per hour
2018-19 School Year. 1. Raise Food Service Attendant, General Helper and Cashier Helper rates to $10.82 per hour. 2. School Garden Attendant pay rate to increase to $10.82 per hour. 3. Employees assigned to the Office of School Nutrition may be eligible to receive an efficiency bonus, if such bonus is offered by the District using the Office of School Nutrition funds. The amount and criteria for eligibility to receive the efficiency bonus shall be established by District administration with assistance from the Office of School Nutrition, with assistance from the Office of School Nutrition, with the understanding that any such bonus will be provided at full discretion of District administration and shall not exceed $1000.

  • School Year Teacher assignable time will be capped at 1200 hours per school year.

  • School Calendar The Dual Credit course schedule will be determined by the location of the course delivery, provided that the required contact hours and prerequisites are met. The instructional calendar for the high school portion of the School will be based on the School District calendar and comply with all related TEA regulations for school attendance. The School District will adjust its schedule as necessary to enable Students to enroll in and attend the college- level courses provided by College. The School District and College will coordinate the State Student assessment requirements to ensure said assessments are administered without penalty. The School District, School and College will ensure that the School calendar accounts for the required per-semester contact hours for courses. When the instructional delivery is on the College site, it may be necessary for Students to attend classes on days when the School District is closed (e.g., different holiday closures). When Students take classes at the College scheduled on days when School is closed, the School District will ensure that at least one staff member with administrative authority be on call and available to be reached by the College’s Office of High School Programs or other College staff in case of emergency. The designated School staff member will have access to Student emergency contact information. While the College agrees to make scheduling accommodations for required State assessments, including the STAAR and End of Course Exams, all contact hour requirements must be met. For assessments not mandated by the State, the College and School District will come to a mutual agreement on administration dates in order to appropriately manage disruptions of college courses and ensure contact hour requirements are met.

  • ALTERNATE SCHOOL CALENDAR 1. In this article, an alternative school calendar is a school calendar that differs from the standard school calendar as specified in Schedule 1 (Supplement) of the School Calendar Regulation 114/02. 2. When a school district intends to implement an alternate school calendar, written notification shall be provided to the local no later than forty (40) working days prior to its implementation. The employer and the local shall meet within five (5) working days following receipt of such notice to negotiate modifications to the provisions of the agreement that are directly or indirectly affected by the proposed change(s). The aforesaid modifications shall preserve, to the full legal extent possible, the original intent of the agreement. 3. The process outlined below in Article D.6.4 through Article D.

  • School Day The school day for members of the bargaining unit shall not exceed seven and one-half (7½) hours of consecutive time which shall include a duty-free, uninterrupted lunch period of no less than thirty (30) minutes.

  • Length of School Year 4.6.1 Except where reduced by any lawful decision of the employer to close the school to students, the length of the school year for each school shall be determined according to the requirement that schools are required to be open for at least 380 half days in any one calendar year. 4.6.2 The normal teaching load of teachers in respect of any one year is therefore related to that requirement.

  • Specialist Schools Allowance Funding equivalent to that which a maintained school with the Academy's characteristics would receive in respect of their participation in the specialist schools programme. In the year of conversion, this may continue to be paid by the Local Authority;

  • Academic Year Academic Year is defined as beginning with the start of fall semester and ending with the completion of spring semester.

  • Placement on the Salary Schedule Members of the bargaining unit shall be placed on the salary schedule at the step appropriate for training and creditable years of experience.
