2023-2024 School Year. The Board will pay eighty-five percent (85%) of the premium and the employee will pay fifteen percent (15%) for full-time employees.

Listed on the Friday Afternoon Activities page are planned off- campus activities that students may earn through proper behavior. 2023-2024 School Year. Effective July 1, 2023, the salary schedule in effect for the 2023-2024 school year shall be created by increasing the salary schedule in effect on June 30, 2023 by two percent (2.00%). Step increment for the 2023-2024 school year shall be granted to eligible unit members effective July 1, 2023 (or February 1, 2024, in the case of those unit members entitled to the award of increment on February 1st of the school year).

2023-2024 School Year. On or about August 1, 2023, the Board and Superintendent will meet and discuss an evaluation process and develop short-term goals for the Superintendent’s first six months with the District. On or before March 15, 2024, the Board will evaluate the Superintendent on these short term goals and provide a written evaluation summary for the Superintendent.
2023-2024 School Year. Upon the request of either party, negotiations shall be reopened over up to two non- economic articles selected by each party. The parties shall submit initial proposals in sufficient time to complete the public notice ("sunshine") process and begin negotiations on or before March 1, 2023 unless mutually agreed to otherwise in writing.

2023-2024 School Year. One hundred eighty (180) scheduled days of student instruction and a total of one hundred eighty-two (182) teacher work days. The total annual salary is based upon one hundred eighty-two (182) workdays.
2023-2024 School Year. All 2023-2024 base salaries, stipends and extra assignment/hourly pay included in the contract shall be increased by a total of 4.5% effective as of July 1, 2023. o The parties agree to reopen Article 12 for bargaining when one or any combination of the following conditions are met: ▪ At the time of the State Adopted Budget for 2022-2023, the Department of Finance projected a fully funded COLA for the 2023-2024 school year in the amount of 5.38%. If the actual funded COLA is greater than 5.38%, or there is an increase to the LCFF that results in more than a 5.38% increase in funding to the District, and/or there is an ongoing increase from another source that results in an ongoing increase greater than 5.38%, the parties agree to reopen Article 12 for 2023- 2024 bargaining. ▪ The District will present to the Board of Education the 2022-2023 Unaudited Actuals and a 2023-2024 Revised Budget in September 2023. If revised estimated expenses result in ongoing, unrestricted and not previously encumbered dollars that are higher than projected in the June 2022 Adopted Budget, the parties agree to reopen Article 12 for 2023-2024 bargaining. Additional ongoing investments to address bargaining unit needs: Effective beginning in the 2022-2023 school year, the District shall budget approximately $189,309 in ongoing, unrestricted funds to address needs within the bargaining unit, including but not limited to staffing, working conditions, and/or recruitment and retention. • This investment shall not be used for across-the-board increases to the SJPEC salary schedule. • The District and SJPEC shall negotiate the usage of this budget appropriation with the intent to reach agreement by December 1, 2022.
