Additional Teaching Assignments. All additional teaching assignments for full-time faculty, other than directed studies, director or reader of a graduate thesis, or director of graduate research or graduate practicum, which are concurrent with normal teaching assignments, shall be compensated at the rate of $1,100 per credit hour for the Fall 2021 semester. Starting in the Winter 2022 semester, the rate will be calculated as 0.025 x the number of teaching load credit hours x base salary, with the maximum amount per credit hour of $1,825 in Winter 2022, $1,825 in 2022-2023, $1,825 in 2023-2024, $1,825 in 2024-2025, and $1,825 in 2025-2026. All additional assignments for contingent faculty, other than directed studies, which are concurrent with normal teaching assignments, shall be compensated at a rate equivalent to that provided in 9.1.1.1.
9.1.4.1 Directed study courses, if approved by the department head and the xxxx, xxxx be compensated at the rate of: $130 per credit hour per student for an undergraduate course and $165 per credit hour per student for a graduate course for 2021-2022 and the life of this agreement; The request for a directed study course must contain both a description of the plan of study as well as a rationale for it being offered. 9.1.4.2 Graduate Research, Practicum, and Theses must be approved by the department head and xxxx. Subsequently, faculty will identify whether they will receive load credit (as specified in their departmental load calculation document required by 6.2.1.1) or monetary compensation (as specified in 9.1.4.2.1)
9.1.4.2.1 The director or reader of a graduate thesis, or director of graduate research or graduate practicum, shall be compensated for the effort according to the following: • Directors of a Doctoral thesis, dissertation, or project shall be compensated at a rate of $2,000 per thesis or project. Additional Teaching Assignments. A. If a teacher is asked to give up his/her preparation period or noon time, they will be compensated in the following manner: Current sub pay divided by 7 will be the pay per period or 55 minutes; current sub pay divided by 14 will be the pay for half a period or 30 minutes.
B. All elementary staff teaching a combined grade will receive extra compensation of $2,750.00 to be pro-rated at 1/182 of the salary schedule if the class is eliminated. Payment to be made at the end of the school year.

Additional Teaching Assignments a. If a teacher is requested by another teacher, with the approval of the principal, to assume more than the normal teaching load as set forth in this ARTICLE, he/she shall not receive additional compensation. This shall not be considered as assigned duty as defined in C. 5. c. below.
b. Assignments of additional classes over and above the teacher’s regular assignment shall be made only by mutual agreement between the teacher or teachers involved and the Superintendent’s office. For such an assignment, additional compensation shall be received at the rate of the teacher’s per diem (based on eight (8) hours hourly pay).
c. If a problem arises, teachers may be required by the principal to fill a class during their conference hour. A teacher will be required to cover no more than once per week. The teacher shall be compensated as per teacher workshop rate A-3. Coverage will be obtained using the following priorities:
(1) Volunteer within needed subject area.
(2) Assigned within needed subject area.
(3) Volunteer from any subject area.
(4) Assigned from any subject area.
Additional Teaching Assignments. In the event that an employee consents to teach an additional class beyond their base contract, they shall be offered a supplemental contract at the employee’s prorated per diem rate. This does not pertain to intermittent coverage.
