Administrative Day. An employee with perfect attendance for a continuous six month period (no sick leave, no worker’s compensation lost time, no leave without pay, no unauthorized absence leave or no other no pay status) shall be eligible for an administrative day, which must be used within the next twelve months, subject to departmental approval. In lieu of using the administrative day, the employee may buy back the time, at the employee’s daily rate at the time it was earned. The continuous six month eligibility period shall be calculated on a rolling basis, i.e., from the last sick, worker’s compensation or unpaid day, or from the last date an administrative day was earned.

Administrative Day. Employees who do not miss work due to illness for a six (6) month period shall receive one (1) Administrative day with pay to be used in the following six (6) month period. Administrative days do not apply to the buy-back provision of sick leave and cannot be carried forward.
Administrative Day. Employees who do not miss work due to illness, injury, suspension, leave of absence, or have more than one instance of other no pay status for a period of six (6) months shall be relieved from duties for one (1) administrative day with pay to be used in the twelve (12) month period next following. Administrative days do not apply to the buy back provision of sick leave and must be used in the next succeeding twelve (12) month period following the date upon which the day was earned. Note: The six (6) month period shall be a "rolling" six month period. An employee who completes any six (6) month employment period without an absence shall be entitled to an administrative day for that period.

Administrative Day. It is understood that each member shall carry out his/her professional responsibilities to the extent required by the educational program of the New Britain Board of Education. The Board and the New Britain Federation of School Administrators recognize and agree that the administrator’s responsibility to their students and teachers and to their profession at sometimes entails the performance of duties and the expenditure of time beyond the normal working day, and that the administrators are entitled to work schedules upon which they can ordinarily rely to the extent possible throughout the school system. Therefore, in accordance with above, the following guidelines are hereby set forth: a) When administrators must be present at after hours meetings, pre-planned presentations, participation, or discussions, a week’s notice will be provided, where possible. b) When an emergency or unplanned attendance is required, twenty-four hours notice will be provided, where possible. In short notice situations, every consideration will be given to prior commitments of the administrator whose attendance is required. c) In the event that the administrator is requested to make an appearance at a Board meeting, the Superintendent will request that the agenda item concerning the administrator, be addressed as early as possible in the meeting. d) On days in which schools are officially declared closed due to inclement weather or other emergency conditions, as determined by the District, it is expected that administrators will report to work unless, in their own good judgment, they find that, due to weather or other emergency conditions, as determined by the District, it would be impossible or unreasonable for them to do so. Administrators may work from home on these days and such days shall constitute a work day. Administrators shall notify either their supervisor when they work from home.
Administrative Day. Each Captain and Lieutenant shall receive one (1) 24-hour Administrative Day per calendar year. The Administrative Day will be scheduled in accordance with Section 17.5 (Scheduling Time Off). This day is intended as compensation for minor shift over-runs.

Administrative Day. Section 1. Allowances Employees hired prior to 7/1/89 shall receive one administrative day for each sixty (60) days of perfect attendance during the school year. The sixty day periods shall be from the first day of school through the sixtieth day of school, the sixty-first day of school through the one-hundred twentieth day, and the one-hundred twenty-first day through the one- hundred-eightieth day of school. Employees hired on 7/1/89 or thereafter shall receive one (1) administrative day for each ninety (90) days of perfect attendance during the school year. The ninety (90) day periods shall be from the first day of school through the ninetieth day of school, the ninety-first day through the one hundred-eightieth day of school. The eight month time period during which the Administrative Day must be used does not include July or August.
