Allocation of Duties. When reduction of supervisory staff dictates added work load to remaining Supervisors, the duties will be allocated as evenly as possible. The Board and Association shall confer and agree on such matters. In the event the parties cannot agree upon the allocation of duties, the matter shall be resolved pursuant to the appeal process set forth in Article VII.

Allocation of Duties. 16.1. Within a calendar year, Employees are accountable for 1748 hours of teaching and other duties. 16.2. The allocation of such duties is subject to the provisions of clauses 18.6 and 18.7 of the Award (AP816514), including the maximum annual and weekly scheduled duties and teaching duty hours, except as provided by this Agreement. 16.3. Consultation and agreement of the teacher is required for an allocation of more than 21 hours of teaching duty or more than 26 hours of scheduled duties in any one week provided that a teacher shall not unreasonably refuse the Employer’s request to perform an allocation of more than 21 hours of teaching duty or more than 26 hours of scheduled duties in anyone week. 16.4. Any agreement under sub-clause 16.3 above must not provide for more than an average of 21 teaching duty hours or 26 scheduled duties per week over a semester.
Allocation of Duties. 21.1 The direct teaching or counselling component of: 21.1.1 full time Teachers shall be 720 hours per annum; 21.1.2 Head Teachers (excluding Head Teacher Band 3) shall be 360 or 504 hours per annum as determined by the Employer; 21.1.3 Adult Literacy Officers shall be 324 hours per annum; 21.1.4 Special Program Coordinators and Assistant Outreach Coordinators shall be 216 hours per annum; 21.1.5 Counsellors and Advanced Skills Counsellors shall be 20 hours per week; 21.1.6 Senior Counsellors shall be 14 hours per week; provided that new Teachers within the meaning of subclauses 25.3.1 and 25.3.2, pursuant to clause 25, Professional Development - Teachers, are entitled to a reduction in their direct teaching time by half the requisite amount of professional development time specified in those subclauses. 21.2 Teachers shall be required to undertake direct teaching including face to face teaching in any environment or setting including, but not limited to, classrooms, workshops, industry, in the field, by distance mode and online, and including workplace training and assessment. 21.3 Only at the discretion of the Executive Director Education and Skills (or nominee) shall any reduction in the teaching load be permitted. If any such reduction is permitted, the Teacher shall not be paid for Excess Teaching Hours, except as otherwise approved by the Executive Director Education and Skills. 21.4 Those Teachers whose classes finish prior to the end of the TAFE Year, semester or term due to final examination shall continue to perform other duties. Such duties are to be determined between the Teacher and their immediate manager in accordance with sub- clause 22.
Allocation of Duties. 9.1 The Employer may require an Employee to carry out any reasonable duties the Employee can perform, subject to any restrictions set out in this Agreement and the payment of higher duties allowance where required by this Agreement. 9.2 Where an Employee is required to undertake lower level duties for a period of time, other than where this is an agreed transfer to a lower level position, the Employee will continue to be paid at the higher level.
Allocation of Duties. Librarians VIII.7.1 Specific and general library duties shall be allocated in a fair, equitable and reasonable manner, taking into consideration the professional responsibilities and skills of individual members, the terms of members' appointments, the relation of librarians' duties to their research, scholarship, and professional activities, the needs of the library and, when possible, the preference of individual members. VIII.7.2 Library duties and responsibilities will be determined by the University Librarian following reasonable consultation with the Librarians' Committee. Members shall have the right to request reconsideration of their workload by the University Librarian within ten (10) working days of its being assigned and the University Librarian shall be expected to respond in writing within ten (10) working days from receipt. Account shall be taken of the workload guidelines formulated by the Librarians' Committee. None of the factors listed in the guidelines shall be taken to preclude other relevant factors. The University Librarian shall give particular consideration to the goal, agreed to by both parties, of fostering the professional development of members newly entering upon their professional careers. VIII.7.3 Using the established workload guidelines, the University Librarian, in consultation with the Librarians' Committee, shall determine the normal workload for each librarian employee. VIII.7.4 The University Librarian shall ensure that members have sufficient time during normal working hours to fulfil the contributions outlined in VIII.1.2 (iv). VIII.7.5 When the Library suffers the sudden, unexpected loss of a member, the Xxxxxxx may authorize full or partial replacement paying particular attention to the provision of library service. VIII.7.6 Insofar as resources become available, every reasonable effort shall be made to increase the librarians' complement as this becomes necessary in order to respond to increasing demands on existing library services and resources. VIII.7.7 The normal hours of work for librarians with regular full-time appointments shall total thirty-five (35) hours per week, which shall be scheduled on a fair and equitable basis to meet the operating needs of the Library.

Allocation of Duties. 38.1 All Employees will work as a team with each Employee working to the level of their classification, job description, training and ability in a cooperative effort to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Vessel. 38.2 The Employees are allocated duties where most need exists as determined by the Shipboard Working Committee, which is chaired by the Master and contains the Chief Officer, Chief Engineer and a representative of the IRs (Integrated Rating(s)) on board. 38.3 The allocation of duties shall be in line with the "teamwork principle". Any Shipboard Working Committee discussion must take into account the following points: (a) The allocation and prioritisation of duties will take into account the standard of up to 12 hours each working day. (b) The Master has the final say in any decisions. (c) The Chief Engineer is responsible for the safe and efficient running of the Vessel's machinery, for the allocation of jobs in the engine room and the machinery spaces, and the general safety of the engine room staff working on machinery. (d) The IR working in the engine room works under the direction of the Chief Engineer. When this IR is required by the Shipboard Working Committee to work on deck, the IR shall work under the direction of the Master, Officer of the Watch or Chief IR. (e) It is accepted that IR's other than the IR working in the engine room sometimes may be required for tasks in the engine room. In these circumstances, it is the responsibility of all to ensure that these tasks are carried out. (f) IRs working on deck shall work under the direction of the Master, Officer of the Watch or Chief IR.
