Association Negotiators Clause Samples

The 'Association Negotiators' clause designates specific individuals or representatives who are authorized to negotiate on behalf of an association in contractual or collective bargaining matters. Typically, this clause outlines the process for appointing negotiators, clarifies their authority, and may set limits on who can participate in negotiations. By clearly identifying the negotiators, the clause ensures that discussions are conducted efficiently and that only authorized parties make binding decisions, thereby preventing confusion and unauthorized commitments during negotiations.
Association Negotiators. The Association shall be allowed to designate up to five (5) employees on paid time to serve as representatives to negotiate with the County. These representatives shall be exclusive of paid staff negotiators. The Association shall provide the Director of Human Resources with the name, classification and department assigned of each of the negotiators. Should any change or alternates be appointed after the original list is established, the Association shall advise the Director of Human Resources immediately. Employees designated as negotiators shall, as authorized by the Director of Human Resources, be granted reasonable release time from scheduled duties without loss of pay to meet with the County representatives during negotiations on matters of wages, hours and conditions of employment. The County shall not be responsible for any travel, overtime or miscellaneous cost resulting from the Association exercising this right.

Association Negotiators. The Board agrees that Association members, a maximum of six (6) employees, engaged during the school day in official new contract negotiations on behalf of the Association with the Board during the term of this Agreement, shall be entitled to released time without loss of salary provided the Association agrees to meet for purposes of negotiations on off-duty time at least to the same extent as on duty released time (i.e., time will be split equally between off duty time and on duty time). If the Association fails to reimburse the District, each released employee will forfeit only the MPSERS service credit for the time the employee was released and there was no reimbursement by the Association.
Association Negotiators. Employees selected by the Association to act as Association representatives for the purpose of negotiating amendments or modifications to this agreement shall be known as the Housing Authority Employees Association Negotiating Committee. The names of employees so designated shall be certified in writing to the Authority by the Association.
