ASSOCIATION OFFICIAL LEAVE. Upon application, an unpaid leave of absence without benefits shall be granted to any Bargaining Unit Member for the purpose of serving in an Association elective office at the state or national level. To the extent that reimbursement is made by PSEA or NEA, the leave shall be with pay and benefits, at no cost to the District. Such leave shall be for a period of time not less than the full term of the office held. Said leave may not be terminated early by the Bargaining Unit Member except for emergency situations, upon written notice to the employer. Upon expiration or termination of leave, the Bargaining Unit Member shall be returned to the same or comparable position, at the same or comparable work site, as that held previously. All rights and benefits accrued prior to the leave of absence shall be restored to the Bargaining Unit Member. Seniority shall accrue during the period of the leave.

ASSOCIATION OFFICIAL LEAVE. Upon application, an unpaid leave of absence shall be granted to any employee in the bargaining unit for the purpose of serving in an Association elective office at the state or national level. Such leave shall be for a period of time not exceeding two (2) years. Said leave of absence may be terminated at any time by the employee upon written notice to the employer. Upon expiration or termination of leave, the employee shall be returned to the same position in the same building as that held previously. The employee shall be placed on the Salary Schedule at the step which would have been appropriate had such leave never been taken. All other rights and benefits shall be restored to the employee as fully as if such leave had never been taken. Seniority shall accrue during the period of leave.
ASSOCIATION OFFICIAL LEAVE. The Board agrees that upon application, an unpaid leave of absence shall be granted to any association member for the purpose of serving in an Association elective office at the state or national level. Such leave shall be granted for a period up to the duration of this Contract. Such leave will be granted providing a replacement who is acceptable to the Board is found.

  • Association Leave A total of 10 days of leave with pay during the current school year shall be granted the Association for use by the Association. A maximum of four additional days may be used for Association leave and the substitute’s salary will be reimbursed to the Board by the Association. The President of the Association will notify the Superintendent as to the educators and dates involved at least five (5) days before such leave is desired.

  • Family Medical Leave (a) An employee is entitled to family medical leave in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Standards Act.
