Board Responsibilities. The Board shall provide a program (or Educational Specifications) which outlines its design objectives, constraints and criteria, including space requirements and relationships, flexibility, expandability, special equipment and systems and site requirements. The Board shall furnish, if necessary, a legal description and land survey of the site, and if applicable, grades and lines of the streets, alleys, pavements, adjoining property, rights-of- way, easements, boundaries and contours of the site, locations, dimensions and complete data pertaining to the existing buildings on the site, and, if necessary, site information as to trees and shrubs and such information as is necessary concerning available services and utility lines above and below grade, including inverts and depths. The Board shall furnish information and render approvals and decisions as expeditiously as necessary for the orderly progress of the PA/E's services.
Board Responsibilities. The exercise of the foregoing powers, rights, authorities, duties and responsibilities by the Board, the adoption of policies, rules, regulations and practices in furtherance thereof, shall be limited only by the specific and express terms of this Agreement and then only to the extent such specific and express terms hereof are in conformance with the Constitution and laws of the State of Illinois and the Constitution and laws of the United States. No action, statement, agreement, settlement, or representation made by any member of the bargaining unit shall impose any obligation or duty or be considered to be authorized by or binding upon the Board unless and until the Board has agreed thereto in writing. Nothing contained herein shall limit the parties’ rights to settle grievances in accordance with ARTICLE IX. Nothing contained herein shall be construed to deny or restrict the Board of its rights, responsibilities, and other authority under the Illinois Public Community College Act and rules which have derived from it, or any other national, state, county, district, or local laws or regulations as they pertain to education.
Board Responsibilities. The Board shall have all powers necessary to carry out and effectuate the purposes and provisions of this Contract and the Land Bank Act, including, but not limited to, the powers set forth in Sections 48-4-106 and 48-4-112 of the Land Bank Act.

Board ResponsibilitiesThe Board, individually and collectively, will refer promptly criticisms, complaints and suggestions called to its attention to the Superintendent for study and recommendation.
Board ResponsibilitiesThe board of directors shall decide and be responsible for policy matters related to the operation of the school, including budgeting, curriculum programming, personnel, and operating procedures. The board shall maintain a policy on nepotism in employment and other policies required by state or federal law. Charter Law requires that the board maintain personnel evaluation policies and practices that, at a minimum: (1) carry out the school's mission and goals; (2) evaluate the execution of charter contract goals and commitments; (3) evaluate student achievement, postsecondary and workforce readiness, and student engagement and connection goals; (4) establish a teacher evaluation process; and (5) provide professional development related to the individual's job responsibilities.
Board Responsibilities. Governance councils operate within board policy, ethics, budget and law. Shared governance is a process delegated to the superintendent for administration of the district. The board retains the right to ultimately establish policy not contrary to the Written Agreement (adjudication 5/20/81).
Board ResponsibilitiesThe Board of Education agrees: 1. To provide a bulletin board in each building for the general use of the Association which will be located in an area readily accessible to and normally frequented by members of the Association. 2. To furnish to the Association President or designee, in response to reasonable requests, all available information concerning the financial resources of the school district, including but not limited to, annual financial reports and audits, register of classified personnel, agendas and minutes of all Board meetings, census and membership data, and other such information as will assist the Association in developing intelligent, accurate, informed and constructive programs on behalf of the Association. 3. To extend to the Association all the rights and privileges afforded to the public at Board of Education meetings. 4. To send agendas to the Association President and to each of the buildings in advance of Board meetings. 5. To provide the Association President or designee with copies of the official Board Minutes following each Board meeting, at no cost to the Association. 6. To provide to the Association President an up-to-date copy of the official Board of Education Policy Book and all revisions as they become available. 7. All correspondence provided to the Association President shall be passed on to the succeeding President.
Board ResponsibilitiesThe Board agrees to furnish, as promptly as possible, all public information requested by the Association to construct its position in bargaining. With respect to the processing of a grievance, the Board agrees to furnish all relevant information requested by the Association subject to FOIA.
Board ResponsibilitiesThe Board is responsible for: (a) the overall strategic guidance of the Group and for overseeing the Group’s internal controls; and (b) ensuring that the business of the Group is managed in accordance with this agreement, the Long Term Business Plan, the Annual Business Plan and the Policies.
