Calculating Student Growth Measures. Student academic growth will be measured through multiple measures that shall include value-added scores on evaluations for Members where value-added scores are available in proportion to the part of a Member’s schedule of courses or subjects for which the value-added progress dimension is applicable. Other student growth measures shall be selected from Ohio Department of Education’s assessment list for Members of subjects where value-added scores are not available and/or from locally developed measures of student growth. Local growth measures shall be established based on state-designed criteria and guidance and the terms set forth in the collective bargaining agreement including, but not limited to, student learning objectives (SLOs). In calculating student academic growth for an evaluation, a student shall not be included if the student has forty-five (45) or more excused or unexcused absences or such lower number allowed by law for the school year.

The Student Growth Measures component of the summative rating shall only be considered for high stakes employment decisions after three (3) consecutive years of data have been collected. 3. The student growth measure percentages for teachers for the 2013-14 school year shall be as follows: Elementary/Middle School/High School: Teacher Category* % Value-Added % Vendor Assessment % SLO’s A1 50% 0% 0% A2 10% 0% 40% B 0% 10% 40% C 0% 0% 50% *Teacher Categories A, B, & C are defined by the Ohio Department of Education. 4. All teachers and evaluators shall receive an orientation on each vendor assessment used in the evaluation system to measure student growth.

When available, Value-Added data or an alternative student academic progress measure, if adopted, shall be included in multiple measures used to evaluate student growth in proportion to the part of the teacher’s schedule of courses or subjects for which the Value-Added progress dimension is applicable. Any teacher whose schedule is comprised only of courses or subjects for which Valued Added data is applicable, the academic growth factor of the evaluation for such teachers shall be based on that Value-Added progress dimension. Fifty percent (50%) of a teacher’s evaluation must be comprised of student growth measures. The extent to which Value-Added, alternative student academic progress measures, ODE-Approved Assessments, and Locally-determined Measures (student learning objectives (“SLOs”)) are used to calculate the student-growth component of a teacher’s evaluation will be in accordance with state law and regulation. Teachers will fall in the one of the following categories by their assigned schedules. A1: 50% value added - A2: If the teacher is elementary and has Star data to use - 10% VA, 20% Star data, 20% SLO If the teacher does not have Star data - 10% VA, 40% SLO B: 50% Star data, split equally between math and reading C: 50% SLO

  • Interim Measures Notwithstanding any requirements for alternative dispute resolution procedures as set forth in Articles 18(B), any party to the Dispute may apply to a court for interim measures (i) prior to the constitution of the arbitral tribunal (and thereafter as necessary to enforce the arbitral tribunal’s rulings); or (ii) in the absence of the jurisdiction of the arbitral tribunal to rule on interim measures in a given jurisdiction. The Parties agree that seeking and obtaining such interim measures shall not waive the right to arbitration. The arbitrators (or in an emergency the presiding arbitrator acting alone in the event one or more of the other arbitrators is unable to be involved in a timely fashion) may grant interim measures including injunctions, attachments and conservation orders in appropriate circumstances, which measures may be immediately enforced by court order. Hearings on requests for interim measures may be held in person, by telephone, by video conference or by other means that permit the parties to the Dispute to present evidence and arguments.

  • Benchmarks for Measuring Accessibility For the purposes of this Agreement, the accessibility of online content and functionality will be measured according to the W3C’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA and the Web Accessibility Initiative Accessible Rich Internet Applications Suite (WAI-ARIA) 1.0 for web content, which are incorporated by reference.
