Cancelled Shifts. An employee who reports for work as scheduled and finding no work available shall be paid a minimum of three (3) hours at her basic rate of pay. However, when such employee works any portion of her scheduled shift, she shall receive pay for that entire shift.

Cancelled Shifts. In the event that the Employer cancels a shift in accordance with Section 7.12.2, the canceled shift will count toward the resource nurse’s minimum obligations as identified in Section 24.1 above.
Cancelled Shifts. (a) Once a Regular Nurse has accepted an extra or relief shift as set out in Article 7.21 or Article 7.22, the Employer may not cancel the shift without the mutual agreement of the Regular Nurse.
(b) Casual Nurses may have relief shifts cancelled with three (3) hours advance notice and there shall be no financial penalty on the Employer. In the event less notice is given for a cancelled relief shift, the Casual Nurse shall be provided with work or be paid for the cancelled relief shift. Not applicable to a Nurse Practitioner.
Cancelled Shifts. (a) An employee scheduled for work by the Employer and who in fact reports for work shall not be entitled to any pay if the Employer has made every reasonable effort to contact the employee at least one hour before the commencement of the shift to advise him not to report for work.
(b) During the term of this Agreement, the Employer and the Union agree that the wages and classifications will be as set forth in Schedule "A" hereto which is hereby made a part of this Agreement.
(c) Employees called in for work by the Employer and who in fact report for work in response thereto shall, in the event that for any reason no work is available, be paid amounts equal to four (4) hours pay.
(d) An employee who reports to work as scheduled and works at least one-half (1/2) of his scheduled shift and is subsequently directed to cease work and is sent home on the instruction of the Employer prior to the completion of his shift because there is no work available shall be paid for all the hours of his scheduled shift.
(e) Pay shortages of fifteen dollars ($15.00) or less will be corrected on the next pay day. Pay shortages of greater than fifteen dollars ($15.00) will be corrected as soon as possible but before 4:00 p.m. the following Monday except where Monday is a statutory holiday in which case it will be before 4:00 p.m. Tuesday.
Cancelled Shifts. An employee who reports for work as scheduled and finding no work available, or who is notified of a shift cancellation less than three (3) hours prior to the start time of the shift must contact the Coordinator on call and shall be offered:
(a) An equivalent shift for another home, to which they are oriented or;
(b) Training hours equal or greater to the cancelled shift, in a location that is mutually agreed upon between the employee and Employer. Where the employee indicates that they want to be trained in another home, such shifts shall be scheduled within four weeks of the cancelled shift. Should no shift or training be offered as described in (a) or (b) above, the employee shall be paid a minimum of three hours at their regular rate of pay. If the employee does not choose to work the alternate shift or make themselves available for training, they will not be paid.
Cancelled Shifts. An employee who reports for work as scheduled and finding no work available, must contact the CRP Administrative on call and shall be offered:
(a) An equivalent shift for another home, to which they are oriented or;
(b) Training hours equal or greater to the cancelled shift, in a location that is mutually agreed upon between the employee and Employer. Where the employee indicates that they want to be trained in another home, such shifts shall be scheduled within four weeks of the cancelled shift. Should no shift or training be offered as described in (a) or (b) above, the employee shall be paid a minimum of three hours at their regular rate of pay. If the employee does not choose to work the alternate shift or make themselves available for training, they will not be paid.
Cancelled Shifts. Full-time and casual Employees shall be notified sixteen (16) hours in advance of the cancellation of a scheduled shift and twelve (12) hours in advance of cancellation of an overtime shift, except where work is not available due to emergencies or adverse weather conditions. If such advance notice is not given a minimum of three (3) hours pay shall be paid to Employees who are scheduled to work either seven (7) or eight (8) hours or five (5) hours pay for Employees who are scheduled to work eleven and one- half (11.5) hours at the Employee's regular rate of pay.
Cancelled Shifts. An Employee shall be notified sixteen (16) hours in advance of his normal start time that no work will be available, except when there is no work available due to emergencies or adverse weather conditions. If such advance notice is not given, a minimum of three (3) hours shall be paid to the Employee at the regular rate of pay.
Cancelled Shifts. (a) Once a Regular Nurse has accepted an extra shift or a relief shift as set out in Article 8.13 the Employer shall not cancel the shift without the mutual agreement of the Regular Nurse.
(b) Once a Casual Nurse has accepted a relief shift as set out in Article 8.13, the Employer shall either provide at least a four (4) hour advance notice to the Nurse of the need to cancel the relief shift or shall provide an alternate assignment to the Casual Nurse.
(c) Once a Casual Nurse has been assigned an extra shift as set out in Article 8.13, the Employer shall not cancel the shift without the mutual agreement of the Casual Nurse.
