CHECK OFF AND UNION MEMBERSHIP. 7.01 Neither the Employer nor the Union will compel employees to become members of the Union. The Employer will not discriminate against employees because of Union membership or lack thereof, and it will inform all new employees of the contractual relationship with the Union. All new employees shall be referred by the Employer to a Union Xxxxxxx or a Union Representative in order to give the Union an opportunity to describe the Union, its purpose, representation policies, and any other information relevant to such new employees.
7.02 The Employer shall deduct from each pay of all employees covered by this Agreement, an amount of money equal to Union dues, and shall remit the same monthly to the Union office, not later than the fifteenth of the month following the month in which such dues are deducted.
7.03 The Union shall hold harmless, and agrees to indemnify the Employer, its successors, administrators and assigns against any liability incurred by each of them by reason of having made any deductions, remittances, or payments required by this Agreement.
7.04 The Employer shall remit dues on a form prescribed by the Union and shall include on such remittance the following information for each employee:
a. name;
b. rate of pay;
x. xxxxx earnings;
d. total regular and overtime hours worked in the month for which such deductions are made;
e. dues or fees deducted and remitted on behalf of the employee as may be prescribed by the Union; and
f. contributions on behalf of the employee and any deductions from and remitted for an employee as may be prescribed by this Agreement.
7.05 When the Employer hires new employees who are not members of the Union, the Employer shall also include on the next remittance, the following information of the employee involved:
a. address;
b. telephone;

7.02 Employees who, because of conscientious objection, as determined by the Union’s internal guidelines, cannot support the Union may apply to the Union in writing.
7.03 Any employee covered by this agreement may become a member of the Union if he wishes to do so and may refrain from becoming a member if he so desires.

Before commencing work, any new employee will be referred by the Employer to a Xxxxxxx or a Union Representative in order to give such Xxxxxxx or Union Representative an opportunity to describe the Union's purposes and representation policies to such new employees.
6.04 The Union agrees that it will make membership in the Union available to all employees covered by this Agreement on the same terms and conditions as are applicable to other members of the Union.
CHECK OFF AND UNION MEMBERSHIP. 7.01 The Employer shall deduct from each employee, from the commencement of employment, an amount equal to Union dues as set by the National Convention of the Union and as continued within the Employer Dues Directive issued by the Union office. The Employer is authorized to deduct any administration fees owing by an employee to the Union when hired. The total amount(s) checked off and/or deducted on behalf of the Union will be turned over by the Employer to the Union by the fifteenth (15th) day of each month following the month for which the monies were deducted, together with an itemized list of the employees for whom the deductions are made and the amount turned over for each.
7.02 Employees who cannot support the Union with their dues for reasons of conscience, as determined by the Union’s internal guidelines of what constitutes as conscientious objection, may apply to the Union, in writing, to have their dues re-directed. Such application shall outline the nature of the conscientious objection.
7.03 Any employee covered by this agreement may become a member of the Union if he wishes to do so and may refrain from becoming a member if he so desires.
CHECK OFF AND UNION MEMBERSHIP. 6.01 The total amount(s) checked off and/or deducted on behalf of the Union will be turned over by the Employer to the Union on the fifteenth (15th) day of each month following the month for which the monies were deducted, together with an itemized list of the employees for whom the deductions are made and the amount turned over for each.
6.02 Employees who cannot support the Union with their dues for reasons of conscience, as determined by the Union’s internal guidelines of what constitutes a conscientious objection, may apply to the Union, in writing, to have their dues re-directed. Such application shall outline the nature of the conscientious objection.
6.03 Any employee covered by this Agreement may become a member of the Union if he wishes to do so and may refrain from becoming a member if he so desires.

The Employer also agrees to deduct and remit authorized initiation fees.
6.02 Employees, who cannot support the Union because of a conscientious objection as determined by the Union’s internal guidelines, may apply to the Union in writing.
6.03 When an Employer hires new employees who are not members of Construction Workers Local 6, the Employer shall inform the Union of the hiring of such employees within two (2) weeks of the date of hiring and furnish the Union with the following information on the employee involved:
a. name;
b. address;
x. xxxx of birth;
d. telephone;
e. Social Insurance Number;
f. family status; g. date of hire;
h. occupation.

7.03 The Employer shall report annually on each employee’s T-4 slip the amount of union dues deducted and remitted on behalf of the employee during the preceding year.
7.04 The Union shall hold harmless, and agrees to indemnify the Employer, its successors, administrators and assigns against any liability incurred by each of them by reason of having made any deductions, remittances or payments required by the Agreement.
7.05 The Employer shall remit dues on a form prescribed by the Union and shall include on such remittance the following information for each employee:

b. rate of pay, including any premiums;

d. total regular and overtime hours worked in the month for which such deductions are made;
e. dues deducted and remitted on behalf of the employee;
f. initiation or other fees deducted from each employee as may be prescribed by the Union;

7.06 When the Employer hires new employees who are not members of the Union, the Employer shall also include on the next remittance the following information from the new employee, which may be used for legitimate Union business only:
a. address;
b. telephone;

6.02 The Employer shall remit to the Union the total amount of union dues, fees, and other contributions arising from this Agreement, by no later than the 15th of the month following the month in which such deductions, contributions or payments are made, or earned. The Employer shall include the following information for each employee with each remittance:
a. Name;
b. Rate of pay (include hourly premium rates if applicable);
x. Xxxxx earnings;
d. Total regular and overtime hours worked;
e. Total dues and fees deducted, and any contributions or other deductions remitted on behalf of the employee;
f. Any change in employment classification or status.
6.03 When the Employer hires new employees who are not members of the Union, the Employer shall also include on the next remittance, the following information for the new employee:
