Court Attendance Leave. The Corporation shall grant leave of absence with continuation of seniority to an employee who serves as a juror or witness, or as the parent or guardian of a minor who has been compelled to attend court to serve as a witness in any court. The Corporation shall pay such an employee the difference between his normal earnings and the payment he receives for jury service or court witness, excluding payment for travelling, meals, or other expenses. The employee will present proof of service and the amount of pay received.
Court Attendance Leave member subpoenaed as a witness in a civil or criminal case, other than a case in which the faculty member is a defendant, or a faculty member ordered to appear for jury duty shall be entitled to leave with pay for the time required to comply with such subpoena or order. Application for leave under this Section 6.2 shall be submitted in writing to the Campus Vice President and Xxxxxxx as soon as the faculty member is served with a subpoena or order to report for jury duty.
Court Attendance Leave. Leave with pay shall be granted to every employee, who is required:
a) (to attend jury selection duty or to serve on a jury ; and
Court Attendance Leave. An employee required to appear and serve as a juror in any court shall be granted leave at the ordinary rate of pay for the period during which the attendance of the employee at court is required.
Court Attendance Leave a) If an employee is required to serve as a juror in a Court of law or is required by subpoena to attend on behalf of the Crown or is required by subpoena to attend a Coroner’s inquest in connection with a case arising from the employee’s duties at the Community Living Belleville and Area, the employee shall not lose regular pay for those shifts in which the employee was assigned to work due to absence necessitated by the above, provided that the employee:
i) informs the Employer through the employee’s manager immediately upon being notified that the employee is required to attend at court;
ii) presents proof of the employees required attendance;
iii) provides the Employer with proof of the full amount of compensation received together with an official receipt for serving in Court excluding travel and meal allowances.
b) Upon compliance with the foregoing, the employee shall be paid the difference between what the employee received from the Court and the employee’s regular pay for scheduled hours of work missed due to such attendance.
Court Attendance Leave a) If an employee is required to serve as a juror in a Court of Law or is required by subpoena to attend on behalf of the Crown or is required by subpoena to attend a Coroner's inquest in connection with a case arising from the employee's duties at The Employer, the employee shall not lose regular pay for those shifts in which the employee was assigned to work due to the above, provided that the employee: ❖ informs the Employer through the employee's manager immediately upon being notified that the employee is required to attend at court; and ❖ presents proof of the employee's required attendance; and ❖ provides the Employer with proof of the full amount of compensation received together with an official receipt for serving in Court excluding travel and meal allowances. Upon compliance with the foregoing, the employee shall be paid the difference between what the employee received from the Court and the employee's regular pay for scheduled hours of work missed due to such attendance.
Court Attendance Leave. 1. A maximum of three (3) days of leave shall be granted each year to any unit member who must appear as a witness in court under a valid order to appear, other than as a litigant, provided that the unit member’s presence is not required because of the connivance or misconduct of the unit member.
2. The leave of absence shall be without loss of pay except that the unit member shall receive the difference between regular earnings and the amount received for witness fees.
3. Court attendance leave not taken in one year shall not accumulate from year to year.
4. For court attendance not covered under this Leave, refer to Section D, item 1c of this Article.
Court Attendance Leave. Any teacher summoned to jury duty or required to appear in court on school related business shall continue to receive full salary and fringe benefits, provided that the teacher:
1. Reports daily to the office of the principal the schedule for the following day, including whether the teacher will be able to report to duty; and
2. Endorses any check or turns over to the Board any funds received from the court or the party issuing the subpoena.
Court Attendance Leave. 27.01 An employee who is obliged to serve as a juror or witness in Court will be granted leave with pay, provided she:
(a) notifies the Employer immediately upon the employee being advised that she will be required to attend as stated above;
(b) presents proof of service requiring the employee's attendance;
(c) immediately after receipt, pays to the Employer the full compensation received less expenses and mileage paid in connection with the Court attendance.
27.02 This clause is applicable to Part-time Relief employees only if they are scheduled to work, during the time of the court appearance.
Court Attendance Leave. 20.01 An employee who is obliged to serve as a juror or witness in court will be granted leave with pay, provided she signs over to the Employer payment received, less expenses for the time served.
