Cultural Resources Studies Sample Clauses

Cultural Resources Studies. CONSULTANT can provide the cultural resources and Native American consultation support needed for projects undertaken by the MWPA. CONSULTNAT can conduct all archaeological- related studies and prepare all subsequent documentation to standards required by the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) for compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and cultural resource provisions under CEQA. CONSULTANT is familiar with the cultural resources review requirements under the VTP PEIR. The cultural resources activities outlined in the VTP PEIR follow the standard requests for conducting a records search, contacting Native American tribes, background research, pedestrian inventory, and treatment of archaeological resources, as necessary, and providing Workers’ Environmental Awareness Training for construction crews. A similar process for cultural resources review can be applicable to support Cat Exs and an IS/MND. Many areas within Marin County are heavily brushed with limited accessibility. In some cases, it may be more appropriate to include a cultural resource monitor while completing the work. CONSULTANT has an outstanding team of geoarchaeologists who can assess likelihood of finding resources based on geology. Geological work can also be applied to regional sensitivity studies for buried sites, paleoenvironment, site structure and formation, and assessments of integrity. A wide range of studies and reports may be required for the projects. CONSULTANT’s Principal Investigators can prepare reports for all potential phases of the cultural resources review process. They will be supported by senior archaeologists, technical editors, full-time production and GIS staff members, and a rigorous internal quality control program. The scope included here can also include Native American outreach, per Assembly Bill 52. Projects may require air quality and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions modeling and analysis. The air quality and GHG analyses will be prepared pursuant to the Bay Area Air Quality Management District’s CEQA Air Quality Guidelines for assessing the significance of air quality impacts. Mitigation measures (including as identified in the VTP PEIR) such as equipment combustion and fugitive dust emission reduction measures will be evaluated. Under the VTP PEIR and a PSA, the potentially significant air quality impacts likely pertain to the generation of emissions, as well as health and odor impacts from prescribed burning.
