Daily Fares and Travelling Allowance. 3.10.1 Where an Employee is not provided with Company transport or is not offered Company transport and is, therefore, required to travel to work in the Employee’s own vehicle, the Employee will be paid a flat travel allowance of $22.95 per day. This rate will increase to $25.00 per day as of the first full pay period after 1 July 2007.
3.10.2 This allowance will not be taken into account in calculating overtime, penalty rates, annual leave, sick leave or any other leave but will be payable for any day upon which the Employee, in accordance with the Company's requirements, works or reports for work or allocation of work.

This allowance shall not be taken into account in calculating overtime, penalty rates, annual leave, sick leave or any other leave but shall be payable for any day upon which the employee, in accordance with this Employer’s requirements, works or reports for work or allocation of work.

32.1. A Daily Fares and Travelling Allowance payment per day shall be made for each day or part day worked (including RDO’s but not other non-working days). This payment shall in no way limit or be construed as a payment in substitution for any other entitlement arising under the award.
32.2. Where applicable, payment shall be as follows: First pay period on or after 1 March 2024: $54.50
32.3. For the life of this Agreement fares and travel allowance will be adjusted annually in accordance with CPI (All Groups, Melbourne) movements measured in the twelve month period ending the previous December quarter effective as of the 1st March from 2024 onwards, rounded to the nearest 5 cents.
32.4. The cost of City Link tolls or similar will be reimbursed to an Employee who is required by the Company to use their own vehicle during working hours, but not for travel to and from work.

Should the Fares & Travel Patterns Allowance prescribed by sub-section 6(1) of the Metal Trades (General) Award 1966 Part 2 Construction Work be increased during the life of this Agreement, the Daily Fares and Travel Allowance prescribed by this Agreement shall be increased to the new award level plus $8.65, operative from the same date as the award increase is operative.

33.11.2 This allowance shall not be taken into account in calculating overtime, penalty rates, annual leave, sick leave or any other leave but shall be payable for any day upon which the Employee in accordance with the Company’s requirements works or reports for work or allocation of work.
33.11.3 The allowance shall also be paid on any day taken as an RDO/PDO. If an employee has banked RDOs/PDOs then at the time of termination of employment, this allowance shall be paid as if each RDO/PDO was in fact taken during the term of employment. The allowance shall not be paid on a pro rata basis for any incomplete "full day" RDO/PDO accrual.
