FARES AND TRAVELLING ALLOWANCES. 19.1 An employee shall be paid for the excess period of travelling time at ordinary rates where:
(a) The employee is required to work at a location other than the employee’s usual place of work; and
(b) The time taken in travelling from the employee’s place of residence to work and/or return exceeds the time normally taken in travelling from the employee’s place of residence to the usual place of work and/or return
19.2 If the fares actually and reasonably incurred in travelling undertaken in accordance with subclause 19.1(a) exceed the fares normally paid by the employee in travelling from the place of residence and return, the employer shall pay the employee the difference in the amount of the fares.
19.3 Where an employee is required to take up duty away from headquarters on relief duty or to perform special duty, and necessarily resides temporarily away from the employee’s usual place of residence, then the employee shall be reimbursed reasonable expenses in accordance with the provisions of Clause 50 - Relieving Allowance of the Public Service Award 1992.
19.4 The provisions of this subclause apply to employees engaged for permanent employment at depots north of the 26th parallel of south latitude.
(a) In this subclause, "fare" includes the cost of transporting any tools owned by an employee and required by him in his employment.
(b) Subject to the provisions of this subclause, the fare of an employee from the place of engagement to any place of employment shall be paid by the employer and the employee shall be paid at ordinary rates for not more than eight hours in any day for time spent in travelling to the place of employment, including time occupied in waiting for transport connections, but if the employee uses a mode of travel not approved by the employer travelling time in excess of eight hours shall not be allowed unless the Board of Reference otherwise determines.
(c) The amount of the fare paid by an employer pursuant to subclause 19.4(b) may be deducted from the subsequent earnings of the employee concerned in such manner as is agreed in writing between the employee and the employer.
(d) If an employee completes six months continuous service with an employer or is dismissed before that time through no fault of his own, any amount deducted by that employer from the employee's salary pursuant to subclause 19.4(c) shall be refunded to the employee.
(e) The employer shall pay the fare of the employee from the place of employment to the place of ...
FARES AND TRAVELLING ALLOWANCES. Employees will be paid a travelling allowance as follows.
(a) Where an employee is provided with a company vehicle to travel to and from work and has responsibility for fuelling and cleaning that vehicle an allowance of $11 per day will be provided.
(b) Or an employee receives a lift from a company vehicle from a point less than 5 km from home then An allowance of $4.50 per day will be provided.
(c) Where (a) and (b) do not apply and an employee is required to drive his or her own transport an allowance of $11.00 per day will be paid.
(d) The calculations in the parent Award will apply to all travel undertaken over 50km per day by the employee, when using their own private vehicle.
FARES AND TRAVELLING ALLOWANCES. The wage rates in Appendix including compensation for the daily fares and travelling allowance.
FARES AND TRAVELLING ALLOWANCES. 29.1 Where an Employee is required during their normal working hours, by the Employer, to work outside their usual place of employment, the Employer shall pay the Employee any reasonable travelling expenses incurred, except where an allowance is paid in accordance with subclause 29.2.
(a) Where an Employee is required and authorised to use their own motor vehicle in the course of their duties, they shall be paid an allowance not less than that provided for in Schedule 2 – Wages and Allowances subclause 4.17. Notwithstanding anything contained in this subclause the Employer and the Employee may make any other arrangements as to car allowance not less favourable to the Employee.
(b) Where an Employee in the course of a journey travels through two or more of the separate areas, payment at the rates prescribed in Schedule 2 – Wages and Allowances subclause 4.17 shall be made at the appropriate rate applicable to each of the separate areas travelled.
(c) A year for the purpose of this clause shall commence on the first day of July and end on the thirtieth day of June the following year.
FARES AND TRAVELLING ALLOWANCES. Employees will be paid an excess fares allowance as prescribed in the Parent Award.
FARES AND TRAVELLING ALLOWANCES. The fares and travelling allowance will be as follows: ▪ $27.50 per day ▪ $29.00 per day effective 7/7/08 This allowance is not be payable on any day on which the employer provides or offers to provide transport free of charge from the employee’s home to the place of work and return.
FARES AND TRAVELLING ALLOWANCES. Employees will be paid an excess travel allowance as prescribed by Schedule A per day. Where the employee is not provided with transport, and is required by the employer to travel to and from the worksite then the fares allowance provided for in the State Award shall apply.
FARES AND TRAVELLING ALLOWANCES. (a) Employees will be paid an excess fares allowance as prescribed by Appendix A where they have an entitlement to this allowance under the Parent Award.
(b) Where an employee has an entitlement to the average excess travelling time payment pursuant to subclause 4.4.2 of the Parent Award, the payment will be as prescribed by Appendix A. (Wage Rates)
(c) Where necessary the company will manage and implement appropriate measures giving due consideration to each situation with respect to fatigue and safety of personnel
(d) These payments will not apply where an employee is absent for the day.
(e) Where employees are provided with company vehicles or group transport for the journey to and from the workplace, these employees shall not receive the fares payment.
(f) Both allowances are fixed for the life of the Agreement.
FARES AND TRAVELLING ALLOWANCES. 35.1 Fares and travelling allowance shall be paid to an employee working on site within a 50-km radius of the Post Office Geelong or Melbourne, depending on place of employment. $22.83 from the 1st April 2006, $23.75 from the 1st July 2007 and $24.70 from the 1st July 2008 Employees required to travel beyond 50 km shall be paid, in addition to the above Travel Allowance, at the site rate Ordinary Time to the next 1/4 hour to and from the radius. Provided that payment shall not be made:
(a) For any day on which the employee is absent from work for any reason;
(b) For any day employees are required to commence and cease work at the employer's workshop, yard or depot;
(c) To any employee provided with, or picked up by, a company vehicle to travel from his home to a site or return.
35.2 Employees transferred from one job site to another during ordinary working hours shall be paid for the time occupied in travelling, and unless transported by the company, shall be reimbursed the reasonable cost of fares by the most convenient public transport between such job sites.
35.3 Provided that where the company requests an employee to use his own vehicle to effect such a transfer and the employee agrees to do so, the employee shall be paid an allowance at the rate of 62 cents per kilometre.
35.4 The travelling allowances prescribed in this clause shall not be taken into account in calculating overtime, penalty rates, annual or sick leave, but shall be payable for any day upon which the employee, in accordance with the Employer's requirements, works or reports for work or allocation of work.
35.5 Employees commencing work at the workshop and who are then transferred to site during the course of the day and cease work at the site, or employees commencing work on site and then transferred back to the workshop during the course of the day cease work at the workshop, shall be paid half the normal travel allowance for the day.
FARES AND TRAVELLING ALLOWANCES. 8.1 Employees commencing work directly on site will receive a Fares and Travelling Allowance of not less then $26.00 per day and increased at the employer’s discretion
8.2 Additional travel payments for travel beyond a radius of 70km from the Business Office is at the discretion of the employer having regard for the employees home address, the job location and travel patterns or costs.
8.3 Loaded casual employees are not entitled to the fares and travel allowance provided for in clause 8.1 as provision for this expense and time has been allowed for in their loaded hourly rate.
