Educational Trust Fund. The Employer shall contribute the amount established in the respective wage schedule per hour for each hour worked by his Employees covered by the terms of this Agreement, and shall submit such contributions to the deposit account designated by the Joint Training Committee as a Trust Fund Deposit Account.
Educational Trust Fund. The Employer shall contribute an amount per hour to the Sheet Metal Workers Local 296, Saskatchewan Educational Trust Fund in accordance with Part 2, Classification and Wage Scales, of Appendices A and B and forming part of this Agreement. The Employer and Union agree to participate in an Educational Trust Fund for the development of skills of Journeymen and Apprentices in the Sheet Metal Industry. The Employer and the Union shall form a joint and equal Educational Trust Fund Committee and be composed of four (4) members representing the Employers who are subject to this Agreement and four (4) members representing the Union selected by the groups they represent. Such Committee to be responsible for the joint administration of the said Trust Fund.
Educational Trust Fund. 18:01 The Employer and the Union agree to participate in an Educational Trust Fund for the development of skills of Journeypersons and Apprentices in the Pipefitting and Plumbing Industry.
18:02 Employers signatory to this agreement and the Union, agree to form a joint and equal Education Trust Fund Committee, which shall also act as the "Joint Training Committee". Said Committee to be composed of no less than four (4) members representing the Employers signatory to this agreement, and no less than four (4) Journeypersons United Association Members representing the Local Union, two (2) of whom shall represent the Commercial Sector, and two (2) the Industrial Sector of Local 179. Said Committee to be responsible for the joint administration of the said Trust Fund.
18:03 The Employer shall contribute the amount established in the respective wage schedule per hour for every hour of labour performed by his/her Employee(s) covered by the terms of this agreement; and shall submit such contributions to a Trust Account designated by the Trust Fund Committee. Contributions will be made on the basis of full or half hours. All monies paid by the Employer to the Education Trust Fund shall be in addition to the hourly wage rates established in the agreement and in no case shall the Employer deduct any such amounts for the Employee's wages.
18:04 All such contributions shall be submitted monthly to the above-mentioned Educational Trust Fund Deposit Account on or before the fifteenth (15th) day of the month following the month for which such contributions are payable.
18:05 The terms of the Education Trust Fund shall not be negotiable under the terms of any Collective Bargaining Agreement. Only that portion pertaining to the number of cents per man-hour earned may be negotiated in each succeeding agreement.
18:06 The Employer and the Union agree to comply with all the provisions and requirements of the Educational Trust Fund and the Declaration of Trust established between the Employer and the Union dated April 1, 1969, and amended July 13, 1970, and with such rules and regulations as the Trustees deem necessary for the successful operation of the said Trust Fund.
18:07 In case of failure of the Employer to contribute into the Fund on the due date, the Union or the Trustees in their joint names, may take legal action against the Employer for recovery of the amount due.
Educational Trust Fund. The Employer shall not contribute into the Educational Trust Fund on behalf of Journeymen. The Employer shall contribute the amount established in the respective wage schedule per hour for each hour worked by his Employees covered by the terms of this Agreement, and shall submit such contributions to the deposit account designated by the Joint Training Committee as a Trust Fund Deposit Account.
Educational Trust Fund. The Educational Trust Fund shall continue in effect for the term of this Agreement. The administration of the Fund shall be governed by the conditions set forth in the Trust Deed as executed separately from this Agreement. The Company shall continue to pay into the Educational Trust Fund the total employee amount of the Employment Insurance Commission premium rebate. Eligible part-time employees, as defined in Article shall be eligible to access up to of the funds available for annual allocation as determined under the terms of the Trust Deed.
Educational Trust Fund.
20-1 The Board of Education agrees to place $300,000 in an Educational Trust Fund for the period of this Agreement.
20-2 A joint committee composed of three (3) paraprofessionals appointed by the Federation and three
Educational Trust Fund. The Board agrees to provide an Educational Trust Fund for the purpose of upgrading the qualifications of employees. The fund will be used to assist employees taking accredited courses, which may prove beneficial to the Board. Accreditation of a course and the amount of assistance to be provided for each employee shall be determined by the
Educational Trust Fund. 20-1 The Board of Education agrees to place $300,000 in an Educational Trust Fund for the period of this Agreement. 20-1-1 Interest earned from the Trust Fund and $5,000 contributed by the District annually will be used to pay tuition costs and related expenses for selected Denver Public School paraprofessionals enrolled in college education classes leading to certification as a teacher.
20-1 2 If the $5,000 contributed annually by the district is not distributed from the Educational Trust Fund, the parties agree to meet and discuss reallocating the undistributed amount of the $5,000.
20-2 A joint committee composed of three (3) paraprofessionals appointed by the Federation and three (3) administrators shall define a set of criteria to be used to identify individuals who will be recommended to receive monies from the trust fund. Using these criteria the Federation will recommend paraprofessionals who may receive monies from the Trust Fund.

Educational Trust Fund. B.13.1 The Board agrees to provide an Educational Trust Fund for the purpose of upgrading the qualifications of employees. The fund will be used to assist employees taking accredited courses, which may prove beneficial to the Board. Accreditation of a course and the amount of assistance to be provided for each employee shall be determined by the Union/Management Committee. The Board will provide $15,000.00 for the fund in each of the school years 2008/2009 and 2009/2010, and $15,000.00 in each subsequent year of the Collective Agreement.
B.13.2 The Education Trust Fund may be used from time to time for CUPE 1196 staff development as agreed by Union/Management.
B.13.3 Notwithstanding the above, an employee cannot receive any assistance from the Educational Trust Fund to assist with costs incurred in B.13.4.
B.13.4 After the minimum for a class requirement has been met, and there is a vacancy in any of the night school classes or continuing education classes operated by the York Region District School Board, an employee may register in any class, subject to any special requirements or prerequisites without paying any course registration fee. However, the employee shall be subject to payment at his own expense of any other fees or financial costs.
B.13.5 If the Board introduces technological change, such changes shall be implemented only after consultation with the Union. Employees directly affected by this change who require new skills will be provided with a retraining opportunity to an available comparable position prior to layoff. PART C - LEAVES OF ABSENCE

Accreditation of a course and the amount of assistance to be provided for each employee shall be determined by the Union/Management Committee. The Board will provide $18,000.00 for the fund in each of the school years 2005/2006 and 2006/2007, and $20,000.00 in each subsequent year of the Collective Agreement.
B.13.2 Notwithstanding the above, an employee cannot request any assistance from the Educational Trust Fund to assist with costs incurred in B.14.1.
B.13.3 Upon successful completion by the employee of academic or technical courses and/or seminars, which are approved in advance by the Union – Management Committee, the employee shall be entitled to the prevailing reimbursement as per Board policy.
