Electrical Worker Grade. 2 - 85% of Base Rate (1) An Electrical Worker Grade 2 is an employee who is engaged in assisting a tradesperson, provided that such assistance shall not include the work of a tradesperson and (a) Without limiting the scope of the work, an employee may perform unskilled tasks as directed to the level of their training; (b) is an employee who is engaged in the clearance of vegetation in the vicinity of overhead power distribution lines.

Electrical Worker Grade. 4 a) Is accredited and employed to perform scaffolding or rigging; and b) Is directly in charge of an electrical store and responsible for materials, ordering and purchasing; or c) Has worked for not less than one year as an electrical worker Grade 3 or has the equivalent experience in the installation of electronics equipment and who, under the minimum supervision of tradesperson or electronics supervisors. - Installs radio, communications and related equipment including antenna; or - Installs fire alarm or security alarm equipment; or - Installs, terminates, and tests data and communication cabling. d) Inspects and tests fire alarms or security alarm equipment involving a range of responsibility beyond that of a Grade 3 Electrical worker and works without assistance and supervision. e) Provided that this person shall not undertake tasks requiring the skills of a tradesperson.
Electrical Worker Grade. 5 2.5.1 An Electrical Worker Grade 5 is employed to use the skills acquired through the training specified below and is an employee who: (a) Holds a trade certificate or tradesperson’s rights certificate, in an electrical trade; or (b) Has successfully completed an appropriate trade course or who has otherwise reached an equivalent standard of skills and knowledge in communications/electronics; or (c) Has successfully completed an appropriate instrumentation trade course; or an AQF Certificate Level 3 in Electrotechnology Instrumentation; or

Electrical Worker Grade. 8 8.1 Included in this grade is the work of: (a) Advanced Electrical Tradesperson Level 1 (b) Advanced Electronic/Communications Serviceperson Level 1
Electrical Worker Grade. 3 3.1 will be a holder of appropriate QBCC license, (which may have been gained by Recognition of Prior Learning within the industry); a) Successful completion of Certificate III in Fire Protection Control UEE31020, including the following units of competency; i. Inspect and test emergency and exit lighting systems CPPES2026; or ii. Successful completion of a course or units of competency of a course, the commission considers is at least equivalent to the course of units of competency as per Certificate III in Fire Protection Control UEE31020 3.2 will be able to carry out installation, repairs and maintenance of: • Alarm / Control Panels; • Evacuation, Intercommunication and Warning systems; • Detectors; • Ancillary associated equipment excluding authority provided power supplies or works on live side of isolating devices.
Electrical Worker Grade. 3 3.1 An "Electrical Worker Grade 3" is an Employee who works under direction, may be required to perform the work of an electrical worker Grade 2; and 3.2 Without limiting the scope of the work performs the work described below to the level of his/her training • Is engaged in storework; or • Is qualified and required to drive or operate the employers machinery, plant or equipment incidental to his/her primary task or functions; or • Inspects and test fire alarm or security alarm equipment; or • Under the supervision of a tradesperson or electronics serviceperson; o Installs radio, communications and related equipment including antenna; or o Installs fire alarm or security alarm equipment; or o Installs data and communication cabling. • Provided that this person shall not undertake tasks requiring skills of a tradesperson.

Electrical Worker Grade. 6 6.1 An “Electrical Worker Grade 6” is an Employee who performs all of the tasks of an Electrical Worker Grade 5 Level 2 and possesses additional skills, qualifications or experience which are utilized by the Employee in fulfilling responsibilities required to be fulfilled by the Company that are considered by the Company to be in addition to those required to be performed by an Employee at the lower level.
Electrical Worker Grade. 6 6.1 Has successfully completed 3 appropriate training modules or 33% of the qualification specified for Grade 7 or its equivalent; or (a) Equivalent structure in-house training relevant to the Company’s business or enterprise as agreed between the parties to the award; and (b) Acquired equivalent standard of skills as defined in 15.6.1 hereof as agreed between parties to the award through other means including a minimum of one year’s experience as an Electrical Worker Grade 5; or (c) Is employed to use the skills acquired through the training or experience specified. 6.2 Included in this grade is the work of: (a) Electrical Tradesperson Level 2 (b) Electronic / Communications Serviceperson Level 2 (c) Instrument Tradesperson Level 2 (d) Refrigeration/Air Conditioning Tradesperson Level 2 (e) Linesperson / Cable Jointer Level 2

(f) Definitions applying to this grade of worker prior to 5 October 1990: (g) Trades assistant; (h) Lines assistant; (i) Cable jointers mate/assistant; and (j) Line clearance operator.
