Emergency Duty Leave. A full-time employee who is a member of the National Guard or organized Reserves of a United States Military Service and who is ordered to emergency duty because of riot, flood or other disaster shall be granted a Leave of Absence for the duration of that emergency duty. Seniority shall accumulate during such leave.

Emergency Duty Leave. A full-time employee who is a member of the National Guard or organized Reserves of a United States Military Service, and who is ordered to emergency duty because of riot, flood, or other disaster, shall be granted a leave of absence for the duration of the emergency duty. The Employer shall be obligated only to pay an amount equal to the difference between the employee's regular salary as computed on a daily basis, and the reservist's daily base stipend, if that stipend is less than the employee's daily rate. The Employer shall be obligated only to pay the above difference for a maximum period of twenty (20) workdays.
Emergency Duty Leave. A full-time Faculty member who is a member of the National Guard or organized Reserves of a United States Military Service and who is ordered to emergency duty because of riot, flood, or other disaster shall be granted leave of absence for the duration of that emergency duty. The Employer shall be obligated only to pay an amount equal to the difference between the Faculty member’s salary as computed on a daily basis and the reservist’s daily base stipend if that stipend is less than the Faculty member’s daily rate. The Employer shall be obligated only to pay the above difference for a maximum period of thirty (30) calendar days.
Emergency Duty Leave. All employees who are qualified members of an emergency service organization (such as, but not limited to, emergency medical technician, search and rescue, fire department, police department, etc.) shall have up to three (3) days leave per year when a request is made to the Superintendent by a representative of said organization.

An employee who is a volunteer firefighter shall be permitted to take temporary leaves of absence, not to exceed an aggregate total of 14 days per calendar year, for the purpose of engaging in fire or law enforcement training.   • Emergency Leave The Commissioner of Minnesota Management & Budget, after consultation with the Commissioner of Public Safety, may excuse State employees from duty with full pay in the event of a natural or man made emergency, if continued operation would involve a threat to the health or safety of individuals. Absence with pay shall not exceed sixteen (16) working hours at any one time unless the Commissioner of Minnesota Management & Budget authorizes a longer duration.

  • Civic Duty Leave A. Employees summoned for jury duty will be granted a leave of absence with pay for time lost from their regular work schedule while on said jury duty upon presentation of the appropriate summons to the department head by the employee.

  • Emergency Service Leave ‌ Where employees' services are required for emergency operations by request from the Provincial Emergency Program or appropriate police authority, leave from work as required may be granted without loss of basic pay.   • Jury Duty Leave A regular, limited-term or probationary employee who is called for jury duty or for examination for jury duty shall be compensated at the employee's regular rate of pay for those hours of absence due to the jury duty which occur during the employee's regularly scheduled working hours provided the employee deposits the employee's fees for such hours of jury duty, exclusive of mileage, with the County Treasurer. Fees for jury duty performed during hours other than regularly scheduled working hours may be retained by the employee. Any hours worked beyond the regularly scheduled workday shall be subject to the workweek and overtime provisions (Article I). An employee may request a change in regularly scheduled working hours to a Monday through Friday day shift for the duration of such jury duty. Such requests shall be granted if practicable.

  • Personal Emergency Leave 1. A teacher will be granted up to five (5) days of leave per year to cover situations beyond the control of the teacher which would significantly impair teaching service. Personal emergency leave may not be used for illness/injury, or illness/injury in the immediate family. Deductions from the gross pay of a teacher for this leave shall be made at the degreed substitute rate of pay for each day taken.
