Evening Meetings. In addition to the 40 hour work week, each teacher may be required to attend three (3) evening events approved by the SLT per school year, as part of the contracted time.
Evening Meetings. A Each Building will have a Parents’ Open House evening meeting during the first (1st) semester of the school year.
Evening Meetings. An evening meeting shall be defined as any event scheduled to begin after 6:00 p.m. No unit member shall be required to make up a missed evening meeting if the unit member and site administrator agree to alternative arrangements for the dissemination of information to parents. If the site administrator does not agree, the site administrator or a designee shall be on campus during the evening meeting for safety reasons. All Back- To-School Nights shall be scheduled after the first day of instruction. Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten Orientation will be held no more than three (3) workdays prior to the start of instruction. Unit members assigned to transitional kindergarten or kindergarten shall not be required to attend Back-To-School Nights.
12.10.1 Grades Transitional Kindergarten - 5th Meetings Elementary unit members shall not be required to return in the evenings for teaching-related duties more often than twice per school year. For the purpose of this section, teaching related duties include curriculum nights, back-to-school, open house, and similar evening meetings.
12.10.2 Grades 6th - 12th Meetings Secondary unit members shall not be required to return in the evenings for teaching related duties more often than once per school year. In additions, secondary unit members shall be required to attend end-of-the-year site graduation/promotion.
Evening Meetings. Members may be required to attend three (3) evening meetings per work year scheduled at the discretion of the Principal, with input from the FLT. These may include up to two Recruitment Night meetings (which will not be held on Sunday without the approval of the FLT), and an advisory committee meeting. All other evening meetings not designated by the Principal as mandatory are optional and unpaid.
Evening Meetings. Trainers shall be required to attend two Back-to-School Nights, and one evening program annually, the dates and times to be determined by the Superintendent of Schools and posted on an activities calendar. If a member misses one or both of the Back-to-School Nights and the administration identifies the need for coverage, the member will be assigned make-up coverage. Makeup coverage will be assigned if the activity coverage is missed for any reason. Whenever possible this make-up assignment will be mutually agreed upon by the administrator and the member. Any additional evening work shall be compensated at an hourly rate of 1/6 x 1/200 of annual base pay.
Evening Meetings. There may be up to two (2) required evening meetings set per year for the purpose of hosting an open house, curriculum night, middle school graduation, or other school-related events. At the elementary level, the Board shall set the date for one of these evenings. If an elementary building administrator and/or an elementary building staff chooses to host a second evening event, that event will be planned through each respective Building Leadership Team. The date, topic, and time will be a building decision. At the middle school, the two (2) evening meetings will be the open house and either graduation or fifth grade transition night.
Evening Meetings. A. Teachers who are required to attend an evening meeting may report ten minutes later to their school the following school day.
B. The Association and the Board agree that parent-teacher conferences may be scheduled two (2) times a year to begin at 1:00 p.m. and end at 7:00 p.m. OR 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (at the discretion of the Calendar Committee), with not less than thirty (30) minutes duty-free for meals. These conference days shall not be days of student attendance.
C. Any teachers who may be required to attend evening meetings officially approved by the Superintendent and the school board, in addition to the eight (8) hours of required evening meetings, will be paid at the rate established in Appendix C. The required evening meetings shall be calendared at least thirty (30) days in advance and their agendas announced in writing at least fifteen (15) days in advance.
D. In the event an uncalendared meeting is scheduled, the Board will post a notice in each building, notify the Association President, and individually notify all teachers who may be interested. Notice will be given forty-eight hours in advance of the meeting if at all possible. Notice will be through the District web page when that media is activated. Teacher attendance at these uncalendared meetings is optional. Teachers who attend these meetings that are published by the District as a Compensated Activity (Section 5.2) will be compensated at the rate established in Appendix C.
E. The Board shall provide security at all required evening events including parent-teacher conference days. Security personnel shall remain on the premises for one-half hour after the event ends.
X. Xxxxx to leaving the buildings, security personnel will be required to inspect the buildings to insure that all teaching personnel have left the premises.
Evening Meetings. Members of the bargaining unit shall be required to attend three (3) evening meetings per school year. Two (2) of these evening meetings shall be for parent/teacher conferences. The remaining required meeting shall be for curriculum presentations. The Superintendent will monitor administrative compliance with this provision.

Professional Employees shall not be required to attend more than one (1) evening meeting each year for open house and/or parent visitation, and such meetings shall not last more than two (2) hours. At the High School, professional employees shall not be required to attend more than two (2) evening meetings each year for open house. Such meetings shall not last more than one and one half (1 1/2) hours each. All evening meetings shall end no later than 9:00 p.m. In addition, each professional employee may be required to be on duty no more than one (1) evening per year for such functions as plays, shows, and recreation events for the pupils.
Evening Meetings. Instructional staff attendance at school-affiliated evening meetings is desirable and beneficial. Except for illness, professionally-oriented course attendance, family situations, religious considerations or other emergencies, employees will be required to attend evening meeting, up to three (3) during a school year including open house.
