Exposure to COVID. 19
a. Employees and individuals who meet the definition of a COVID-19 close contact per Public Health-Seattle & King County shall be notified by the District within three (3) hours of notification to the District. It is understood that results need to be communicated in as fast a manner as possible to assure public safety.
b. If additional contact tracing is necessary, Public Health-Seattle & King County will contact those impacted to complete contact tracing and advise further. Should Public Health-Seattle & King County not engage in appropriate contact tracing, and there is not a verified connection to an external exposure, the COVID exposure will be presumed to have been related to the worksite.
Exposure to COVID. 19. In accordance with guidance from state and local health officials, in the event a student, teacher, or other staff member, or a member of their household, tests positive for COVID-19 and has exposed others at the school, the District agrees to consult the local public health officials, so that the Superintendent may consider whether school closure is warranted and length of time based on the risk level within the specific community as determined by the local public health officer.
Exposure to COVID. 19: In the event a classified bargaining unit employee is exposed to coronavirus through contact with someone who tests positively as verified by a medical practitioner, is taken ill with coronavirus as verified by a medical practitioner, or is directed by a medical provider to self-quarantine, the employee may use available leaves without fear of reprisal. Employees will continue to be eligible for sick leave pursuant to Article 6 Leaves of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), and under H.R. 6201 as applicable. Employees may elect to exhaust leave under H.R. 6201 prior to using accrued leave pursuant to Article 6 Leaves of the CBA.
Exposure to COVID. 19: Employees who are exposed to any student or other district employee who has a confirmed case of COVID-19, shall be notified by the district as soon as reasonably possible, at the direction of the health department(s).
i. The district will provide leave and benefits for any employee who is awaiting the results of COVID-19 testing because of exposure as described above pursuant to “Leaves, 3(a)ii” in the main body of this Memo of Understanding.
Exposure to COVID. 19: Employees who are exposed to any student or other District 26 employee who displays COVID-1 9 symptoms or who has a suspected or confirmed 27 case of COVID-1 9, or who are exposed to any student or staff member who was in 28 close contact with someone with a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 shall be 29 notified by the District as soon as reasonably possible, but no later than the end of the 30 contracted day, or within twelve (12) hours if the District becomes aware of the 31 exposure during a weekend or holiday. The District shall notify the Chapter as soon as 32 possible in order to ensure that PSE members are alerted to any potential contamination 33 risk. No potentially confidential information will be disclosed. 35 In the event of staff or student at any building site who test positive for COVID-19 or waiting 36 for the testing results of COVID-19, the District shall follow Yakima County Health District, 37 Washington State Department of Health, and OSPI recommendations for cleaning and 38 disinfecting worksites, school buildings, and /or vehicles and ensuring a low-risk learning 39 environment for staff and students. 40
Exposure to COVID. 19: Employees who are exposed to any student or other district 31 employee who has a confirmed case of COVID-19, shall be notified by the district as soon 32 as reasonably possible, at the direction of the health department(s).
34 i. The district will reimburse any employee for out-of-pocket costs related to COVID-19 35 testing when an employee has been exposed to a student or staff member as described 36 above.
37 ii. The district will provide leave and benefits for any employee who is awaiting the results 38 of COVID-19 testing because of exposure as described above pursuant to “Leaves, 39 3(a)ii” in this Memo of Understanding.
Exposure to COVID. 19: Notification of exposure -
a) The District shall notify the president(s) and the UniServ Director of any known confirmed case of COVID-19 in their building or any facility their employees work in as soon as reasonably possible; but not later than the next school day, or within twenty-four (24) hours following receipt of notice.
b) The Supervisor shall notify building employees of any known confirmed case of COVID-19 in their building as soon as reasonably possible; but not later than the next school day, or within twenty-four (24) hours following receipt of notice.
c) If an employee is medically required to quarantine based on Health and Safety standards dictated by DOH, they will be provided the opportunity to work remotely if work is available.
d) In the event an employee is required to quarantine and remote work is not an available option, see Section II: Leaves Available for In-Person Learning Environments.
Exposure to COVID. 19: Employees who are exposed to any student or other District employee who displays COVID-19 symptoms or who has a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19, or who are exposed to any student or staff member who was in close contact with someone with a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 shall be notified by the District as soon as reasonably possible, but no later than start of the next school day, or within twelve (12) hours if the District becomes aware before a weekend or holiday.
a. The District shall assist any employee who is exposed to COVID-19 as described above in being tested for the virus. Tests are currently and will continue to be available on each school campus, for adults.
b. The District will provide full paid administrative leave and benefits for any employee who is awaiting the results of COVID-19 testing because of exposure as described above.
Exposure to COVID. 19: Employees who are exposed at work to any student or other district 35 employee who has a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19, or who are exposed at work 36 to any student or staff member who was in close contact with someone with a confirmed or 37 suspected case of COVID-19 shall be notified by the district as soon as reasonably possible, as 38 directed by the CDHD.
39 a. The district shall assist any employee who is exposed to COVID-19 as described above 40 in being tested for the virus if such is the recommendation of the CDHD.
41 b. The district will reimburse any employee for out-of-pocket costs related to COVID-19 42 testing when an employee has been exposed to a student or staff member as described
44 c. An employee who is subject to quarantine outside of their work assignment will notify 45 the building administrator immediately.
Exposure to COVID. 19: Employees who are exposed to any student or other district employee who displays COVID-19 symptoms or who has a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19, or who are exposed to any student or staff member who was in close contact with someone with a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 shall be notified by the District as soon as reasonably possible, but no later than start of the next school day, or within twelve (12) hours if the district becomes aware before a weekend or holiday.
i. The District shall assist any employee who is exposed to COVID-19 as described above in being tested for the virus.
ii. The District will reimburse any employee for out-of-pocket costs related to COVID-19 testing when an employee has been exposed to a student or staff member as a result of the conditions described above. This is contingent upon employee’s insurance coverage.
