Civil Emergency. Employees summoned to control a forest fire, flood, or other civil emergency will be retained on the payroll of the Employer and will receive the regular rate of pay for their working day position for a normal working day. If an employee is required to control a civil emergency beyond their normal working day they may be paid for the extra hours by the authority involved, such as the Forest Service, at regular rates. If an employee is on vacation with pay at the time of the summons to control a forest fire, flood, or other civil emergency, the number of days fighting such an emergency shall not be credited to their vacation leave provided that any remuneration other than overtime is turned over to the Employer and their vacation days shall be rescheduled to a mutually convenient time.
Civil Emergency. If, in the sole discretion of the College President, it is determined that a civil emergency condition exists, including but not limited to riots, civil disorders, hurricane conditions or other catastrophes, the provisions of this Agreement may be suspended by the College President during the time of the declared emergency, provided that wage rates and monetary fringe benefits shall not be suspended. The College will notify the Union Office as soon as practical.
Civil Emergency. If the presiding officer of the governing body of a Party is of the opinion that a state of civil emergency exists that requires assistance from another Party, the presiding officer of the Party requesting mutual aid shall make the request directly to the Party from which assistance is sought. Before the emergency assistance is provided, the governing body of the Party whose assistance has been requested shall authorize such assistance by resolution or other official action, in accordance with Chapter 791 of the Texas Government Code. In the event of a widespread civil emergency affecting more than one Party hereto, each affected Party shall utilize its respective State of Texas Department of Public Safety Disaster District Committee for coordinating the provision of mutual aid.

Civil Emergency. In the event of an absence resulting from active participation as a member of a civil emergency response unit (e.g. volunteer fireman, sheriff’s posse, etc.), the Director may waive the salary deduction for that period of time when the employee is absent from work due to the emergency. Documentation of the absence must be provided by the employee.
Civil Emergency. If, a civil emergency condition is declared by the Governor including but not limited to strikes, work stoppages, riots, civil disorders, hurricane conditions, or similar occurrences, the provisions of this Agreement may be suspended by the City Manager or designee during the time of the declared emergency, provided that pay, insurance and pension benefits shall not be suspended.
Civil Emergency. an unforeseen combination of circumstances or the resulting consequences thereof within the geographic limits of a given jurisdiction that calls for immediate action or for which there is an urgent need for assistance or relief to protect the general citizenry.

In the event of a widespread civil emergency affecting either Party’s ability to perform governmental functions, the county judge of Tarrant County, in which the Parties are located, shall have the authority to coordinate the call-up and assignment of resources to the affected area, pursuant to Section 8 of this Agreement.
Civil Emergency. If, in the discretion of the President of the United States, the Governor of Illinois, or the Mayor of Palos Park, it is determined that extreme civil emergency conditions exist, including but not limited to, riots, civil disorders, tornados, floods, or other similar catastrophes, the provisions of this Agreement may be suspended by the Mayor of Palos Park or designee during the time of declared emergency, provided that wage rates and monetary fringe benefits shall not be suspended. Should an emergency arise, the Mayor of Palos Park or designee shall advise the President of MAP Chapter #150, or the next highest officer of MAP Chapter #150 of the nature of the emergency. The Mayor or designee shall follow up said advice in writing as soon as practical and shall forward said written notice to the President of MAP Chapter #150.
