Filling of Patrol Assignments. All Patrol shift assignments shall be posted annually between November 1 and November 15 for the following year. Members may submit their requests for shifts based on seniority during this period. No such request shall be unreasonably denied. The member with the highest seniority will have the first choice of patrol shift assignment. Seniority will be determined in accordance with the provisions of Section 15.

Filling of Patrol Assignments. By November 1 of each year, the Chief shall post, on the bulletin board all patrol shifts and days off assignments that will be utilized for the next year beginning the first Sunday in January. The member with the highest seniority shall have first choice of the patrol shift assignments. This process will continue in order of highest in seniority to lowest in seniority, until all members have selected a patrol shift assignment. Once all members have selected their assignment choice, the bidding process will be completed and no changes or rebids will be accepted.

Shift assignments shall be filled on a seniority basis. Once a member has completed twelve (12) months service with the Division, the member shall be eligible to participate in the annual bidding for patrol assignments. Sergeants in patrol assignments will select assignments by seniority first. Then the non-supervisory member with the highest seniority will have the first choice of patrol shift assignment. Seniority will be determined in accordance with the provisions of Section 16.

Filling of Patrol Assignments. All patrol shift assignments (including non-rotating consecutive days off) shall be posted annually between November 1 and November 15 for the following year. Members may submit their requests for shifts based on seniority during this period. A member who does not make his or her shift selection within twenty-four (24) hours of notification of his or her turn to select shall forfeit their right to select by seniority. Once a member has completed his or her initial probationary period, he or she shall be eligible to participate in the annual bidding for patrol assignments. Patrol shift assignments shall be made on the basis of seniority with the member having the highest seniority being given the first choice of a patrol shift assignment. Seniority will be determined in accordance with the provisions of Sections 14.2 through 14.6 of this Agreement. Should any patrol shift assignment vacancy occur during the year and prior to October 1, there shall be one interim bidding process for that opening resulting in one (1) schedule change for one (1) officer. The vacancy shall be posted for five (5) calendar days. The most senior member responding to the posting shall be given the assignment. Subsequent vacancies occurring from the initial interim bid shall be filled, at the discretion of the Chief, by assigning the least senior member. Prior approved leave and training conflicts impacted by the interim bid shall be decided in favor of the members that did not change schedules. The patrol shift assignment for a member assigned as a K-9 Officer shall be made at the discretion of the Chief; however, such shift assignment shall have regular scheduled work hours on scheduled work days, but such work hours can be changed for K-9 related duties.

Members shall select their shift assignment (which includes their days off) based on seniority by December 15. The Member with the highest seniority will have the first choice of patrol shift assignment. Seniority will be determined in accordance with the provisions of Section 12.1. Should any change in shift assignment occur during the calendar year, an interim bidding process shall be followed to fill the opening, provided that if no Member applies for the opening, the Chief retains the discretion to fill the opening by assigning the least senior Member. The interim process shall be initiated by the posting of the available Patrol assignment, with Members being given fourteen (14) calendar days to respond in writing to the posting indicating interest in the assignment. The most senior Member indicating interest shall be given the assignment. The interim bidding process shall also apply to subsequent openings occurring as a result of the use of the procedure. During the bidding process, a temporary assignment may be made until the bidding process is complete and the permanent assignment is made.

  • Deed; Xxxx of Sale; Assignment To the extent required and permitted by applicable law, this Agreement shall also constitute a “deed,” “xxxx of sale” or “assignment” of the assets and interests referenced herein.

  • Shift Assignments When an opening occurs in a shift assignment in an appropriate work group at a location, preference shall be given to employees within the classification who possess the training, ability and any required special qualifications to perform the work required, on the basis of seniority. In the event that no employee desires a shift assignment, employees shall be selected in order of inverse seniority. This provision shall not apply to necessary training assignments. This provision shall not in itself alter the practice of rotating shifts where such practice presently exists. No employee who has a regular shift assignment on the effective date of the Agreement shall be involuntarily displaced from such shift assignment as a result of this Article.

  • Amendments; Assignments A. Except as provided to the contrary herein, this Agreement may not be amended or modified in any manner except by a written agreement executed by both parties with the formality of this Agreement. B. This Agreement shall extend to and shall be binding upon the parties hereto, and their respective successors and assigns. This Agreement shall not be assignable by either party without the written consent of the other party, except that UMBFS may assign this Agreement to an affiliate with advance written notice to the Trust and except as provided in Section 2.02.

  • Shift Assignment Should the University elect to establish a shift on any other schedule than the regular day shift (Monday through Friday) or to assign employees to work on any such shift, the employee(s) with the most seniority in the classification affected or to be assigned on such shift shall have preference in moving to such shift. If an insufficient number of employees in the classification elect to move to such shift, then the employee(s) with the least seniority in the classification shall be assigned to such shift. If positions or shifts are reduced or eliminated or movement of personnel to other shifts is required, then the seniority of the affected employee will prevail in the selection of shift, provided the affected employee can do the required work. Such shift preference is only applicable within the employee's classification.

  • Special Assignments Special assignments shall not be considered breaks in service or affect the privileges and the status of that person with the University. Any special conditions of such special assignments shall be clearly set forth in writing. They shall become binding only after having been signed by the unit member concerned and by the appropriate chancellor, or designee.

  • Antitrust Assignment The Contractor and the State of Florida recognize that in actual economic practice, overcharges resulting from antitrust violations are in fact usually borne by the State of Florida. Therefore, the contractor hereby assigns to the State of Florida any and all claims for such overcharges as to goods, materials or services purchased in connection with the Contract.

  • Assignment of Patents Executive shall disclose fully to the Company any and all discoveries he shall make and any and all ideas, concepts or inventions he shall conceive or make that are related or applicable to the Business of the Company or of any of its Subsidiaries or to any other products, services, or technology in medicine or the health sciences in which the Company shall during the Employment Period undertake, or actively and in good faith consider, research or commercial involvement; provided, however, that either (a) such discovery(ies), idea(s), concept(s) and/or invention(s) are made by the Executive during the Employment Period or (b) such discovery(ies), idea(s), concept(s) and/or invention(s) are made by the Executive during the period of six (6) months after his employment terminates and are in whole or in part the result of his work with the Company. Such disclosure is to be made promptly after each such discovery or conception, and each such discovery, idea, concept or invention will become and remain the property of the Company, whether or not patent applications are filed thereon. Upon the request and at the expense of the Company, the Executive shall (i) make application through the patent solicitors of the Company for letters patent of the United States and any and all other countries at the discretion of the Company on such discoveries, ideas and inventions, and (ii) assign all such applications to the Company, or at its order, without additional payment by the Company except as otherwise agreed by the Company and the Executive. The Executive shall give the Company, its attorneys and solicitors, reasonable assistance in preparing and prosecuting such applications and, on request of the Company, execute such papers and do such things as shall be reasonably necessary to protect the rights of the Company and vest in it or its assigns the discoveries, ideas or inventions, applications and letters patent herein contemplated. Said cooperation shall also include such actions as are reasonably necessary to aid the Company in the defense of its rights in the event of litigation. This Section 18 shall not apply to any invention for which no equipment, supplies, facilities, or trade secret information of the Company or its Subsidiaries was used, and which was developed entirely on the Executive’s own time, unless (i) the invention relates directly to the Business of the Company or of any of its Subsidiaries or to the actual or demonstrably anticipated research or development of the Company or of any of its Subsidiaries, or (ii) the invention results from any work performed by the Executive for the Company.

  • Patent Assignment Seller hereby sells, assigns, transfers and conveys to Purchaser all right, title and interest it has in and to the Patents and all inventions and discoveries described therein, including without limitation, all rights of Seller under the Assignment Agreements, and all rights of Seller to collect royalties under such Patents.
