FIRST AIDERS. Sixteen (16) employees (four (4) per platoon) assigned in order of seniority from the Fire Suppression non-officer ranks by the Chief of the Department who are holders of valid and current First Aid Certification shall be the designated instructors for educating, promoting, and facilitating training of first aid and health matters to other employees of the department. (i) As a condition of employment, an employee hired after January 1, 1996, shall have and maintain a valid Occupational First Aid Certificate, Level II or equivalent (First Responder Level 3). (ii) All employees who possess or obtain a Medical First Responder Certificate shall maintain such certification for as long as first responder training is provided at the cost of the Employer. (iii) Notwithstanding clauses (i) and (ii) above, after making representations to the Fire Chief based on reasonable grounds, and with agreement of the Fire Chief, an employee with ten (10) or more years of service may be exempted from clauses (i) and (ii) above. (iv) In the event the Medical First Responder Certificate Program is discontinued, the provision of this Article affecting first responder certification requirements shall be held in abeyance until resolved in a manner acceptable to the parties to this collective agreement.
FIRST AIDERS. Any person who the Company recognises as a qualified first aider and who carries out the duties prescribed will receive a fixed payment as detailed in Appendix 1.
FIRST AIDERS. Additional payments to qualified first-aiders will be the subject of local discussion.
FIRST AIDERS. First aiders recognised by the company will be paid an allowance per hour as follows: 45.1 Occupational First Aiders, as defined by the OHS&W regulations, will be paid an allowance of 75 cents per hour which will form part of the all purpose rate of pay.
FIRST AIDERS. (i) With the intent of enhancing the effort to ensure the well-being of learners diagnosed with life-threatening conditions that have been communicated to the School and to further address emergency situations which might require the use of first aid in life-threatening situations, each School shall qualify for the identification of two (2) First Aiders from amongst education grades for such cases. (ii) In cases where such officials are not in possession of a valid First Aid qualification, the management obliges itself to offer the required training outside of school hours. These identified educators shall be remunerated additionally for this responsibility. (iii) In recognition of the responsibilities shed on the Head of School by the Education Act in force from time to time, in absence of a first aider in school, the Head of School may also take on the full role of First Aider and also benefit from the remuneration for this additional duty.
FIRST AIDERS. The current practice of 2 first aiders per shift will continue.
FIRST AIDERS. (a) First Aiders are the first point of contact when an employee is injured. Their role is critical in the effective running of the Company safety and injury management system. They are normally the first person to assist and treat the injured employee. They ensure appropriate first aid treatment is given and follow Golden Circles Guidelines/Policy. (b) First Aiders are appointed by the Company and can therefore be removed from the position by the Company. (c) The Company will provide each first aider with appropriate clothing and equipment for use at Golden Circle operations. Where provided this must be worn by the first aider at all times. (d) The Company will provide appropriate training during work time. (e) Subject to sub-clause (f), where a person appointed to render first aid (first aider) is employed under the terms of this Agreement the Employer must pay that person an allowance of $20.00 per week. (f) Where a person appointed to render first aid is appointed as an Occupational First Aider and is employed under the terms of this Agreement the Employer must pay that person an allowance of $25.00 per week. (g) First aiders are required to not only offer first aid support in their own department but also across the Company site. (h) First aiders are required to account for stock use by way of first aid reports to the business and ensure stock levels in their assigned equipment list are maintained to ensure that appropriate first can be rendered at any time whilst on-site.
FIRST AIDERS. The parties will ensure there are enough trained first aiders to meet relevant legislative requirements.

  • First Aid The employer will appoint an employee who holds a current First Aid certificate and who is covered by this agreement as first aid attendant. Any first aid chest, box or cupboard provided by the employer will be in control of that employee and his/her name will be made known throughout the establishment in which he/she is employed and will be inscribed on the first aid chest, box or cupboard.

  • First Aid Kits The Employer shall provide an area, equipped with a first-aid kit, for the use of Employees taken ill during working hours.

  • First Aid Training In the interests of the occupational safety and health of employees, the Employer will undertake an in-service program of first aid training aimed at providing a first aid officer for each department.

  • First Aid Attendants a) Designated First Aid Attendants shall receive their job rate of pay plus the Ticket Premium rate. All other employees holding valid First Aid Tickets shall receive a premium of five cents (5¢) per hour over and above their job rate. There shall be no stacking or pyramiding of premiums. b) Where a company is paying a bonus or premium(s) greater than set out above, it shall keep such policy in effect. c) Effective July 1, 1994, premiums for designated First Aid Tickets shall be: Xxxxx 0 - $0.85 per hour Xxxxx 0 - $0.50 per hour

  • Safety Glasses Section 1. The City shall supply prescription safety glasses with plastic lenses to employees who are required to wear safety glasses and who are members of the classifications contained in Appendix C to this contract. Safety glasses which are authorized must be industrial grade safety glasses which meet or exceed the requirements of ANSI Specification Z87. 1. All employees who are required to wear safety glasses shall also be required to wear side xxxxxxx, either permanent or snap-on, whenever an eye hazard exists. Solid tinted glasses will not be approved unless required by prescription. Photogray, progressive, scratch coating and/or anti-glare lenses may be considered for those employees who primarily work outdoors or as prescribed. In the event that additional classes are identified as needing either prescription safety glasses or protective eyewear, such classes may be added to the classification list in Appendix C upon approval of PAGE and the City. Section 2. The City agrees to pay the full cost of required prescription safety glasses, with frames not to exceed $75.00. This excludes the cost of the eye examination which will be the responsibility of the employee. The effected employees will be allowed one (1) replacement of safety glasses every two (2) years. In the event the safety glasses become lost, unserviceable, or broken on the job, the employee must present a written request for replacement to the Department Head and Human Resources Director. If the employee breaks his safety glasses while on the job, the Department shall replace the glasses at no cost to the employee. The replacement of lost glasses or glasses that are broken off the job will be at the discretion of the Department Head and Human Resources Director. If an employee has been provided safety glasses by the City, the employee shall be permitted to retain possession of the glasses after separation from the City without reimbursing the City for any costs associated with the glasses. Section 3. An employee who is required to wear prescription safety glasses must present a written request to his department head or designated representative. Section 4. The employee must obtain a current prescription and the employee is authorized the use of sick leave not to exceed two (2) hours to accomplish this examination. The employee will obtain a purchase order from the Department Head prior to ordering the safety glasses. The employee will present the purchase order to the appropriate vendor when ordering. The vendor will contact the appropriate Department Head when the glasses are ready for delivery. The Department Head will then notify the employee who will present himself at the vendor for fitting and pickup. Section 5. In the event a probationary employee has been issued safety glasses and terminates his employment with the City for any reason during the probationary period, he shall be required to reimburse the City for any expenses incurred in the purchase of safety glasses.

  • TOBACCO FREE CAMPUS All Orange County operations under the Board of County Commissioners shall be tobacco free. This policy shall apply to parking lots, parks, break areas and worksites. It is also applicable to Contractors and their personnel during contract performance on County owned property. Tobacco is defined as tobacco products including, but not limited to, cigars, cigarettes, e-cigarettes, pipes, chewing tobacco and snuff. Failure to abide by this policy may result in civil penalties levied under Chapter 386, Florida Statutes and/or contract enforcement remedies.

  • Prosthodontics We Cover prosthodontic services as follows:

  • Quality Management System Supplier hereby undertakes, warrants and confirms, and will ensue same for its subcontractors, to remain certified in accordance with ISO 9001 standard or equivalent. At any time during the term of this Agreement, the Supplier shall, if so instructed by ISR, provide evidence of such certifications. In any event, Supplier must notify ISR, in writing, in the event said certification is suspended and/or canceled and/or not continued.

  • Safety Equipment Should the employment duties of an employee in the bargaining unit require use of any equipment or gear to insure the safety of the employee or others, the District agrees to furnish such equipment or gear.

  • TOOL STORAGE 1. A company shall provide on all construction jobs in towns and cities, and elsewhere where reasonably necessary and practicable (or if requested buy the employee), a suitable and secure waterproof lock-up solely for the purpose of storing employees’ tools, and on multi-storey and major projects the company shall provide, where possible, a suitable lock-up for employees’ tools within a reasonable distance of the work area of large groups of employees. 2. Where an employee is absent from work because of illness or accident and has advised the company in accordance with Clause 33 – Personal Leave of the award, the company shall ensure that the employee’s tools are securely stored during his/her absence.
